  • Looks like all else being equal, the guy is going for smart players that are superior athletes. Definitely taking athletic ability over need.

Cameron is a very raw prospect with a lot of upside potential. Will attract teams with his outstanding combination of height, speed and hands. (converted basketball player)

Marecic is a throwback player that lined up on both sides of the ball in college. He projects as a fullback at the next level, as he is a fierce run blocker that looks to dominate opponents. Played both ways @ Stanford.

Skrine comes from an FCS school and is undersized, but he can flat out run. He has elite recovery speed and quickly closes when the ball is in the air. (ran a 4.4 so he has Joe H. speed)

I just posted the positives, as every player taken in the later rounds has flaws. Cameron is inexperienced, and a project. Marecic is slow, and Skrine is small- 5'10" 185.

  • Skrine did play against like Auburn and North Carolina. Looked like he did pretty well in those games from his highlight tape. I thought Skrine ran like a 4.29?

They said he was clocked at 4.22 at one point during his career at Chat, and he also maxed out at 360 on the bench.

  • In his conference call, he said he ran 4.22 his whole junior year.

He's a bit bigger now, I reckon. But man, he's blazing...

  • i see some continuity with the S.A.T. smart/athletic/tough philosophy.....but not all of the Mangini core characteristics remain intact. either way, so far i like the talent/bust risk vs reward odds.

  • What xxxxing difference does 7 hundredths of a second make?
