Is it too early to ask the question: If the playoffs started today, who would be in? Obviously; but, nevertheless I will answer the question now because it can be asked and answered...and because it is still more relevent than any power poll:

    AFC Division winners:

AFC East: Buffalo Bills (over Pats due to head to head)

    AFC North: Baltimore Ravens

AFC South: Houston Texans (over Titans due to better div. record)

    AFC West: San Diego Chargers

Wild Cards: Patriots (4-1) and Bengals (best Conf. record among 3-2 teams)

    NFC Division winners:

    NFC East: Washington Redskins

NFC North: Detroit Lions (over Packers due to better div. record)

    NFC South: New Orleans Saints

    NFC West: San Fran 49ers

Wild Cards: Green Bay Packers (5-0) and NY Giants (best Conf. record among 3-2 teams)

      Just a couple of notes:

Largest plus point differentials: Lions +70. 49ers +64. Packers and Ravens +62 each.

Largest minus point differentials: Chiefs -73, Rams -67, Jags -56, Colts -49

Most TDs scored: Packers 21, Bills and Pats 20, Lions 18

Fewest TDs scored: Rams 4, Jags 5, Dolphins 6, Chiefs and Browns 8

        it would be.

        if it weren't so sad.

with all i've heard about Big Ben being a rapist and i go to a online sex offender registry and look up cleveland and Pittsburgh and what do i find? cleveland has a CRAP load more sex offenders (and expecially child molesters) than Pittsburgh.......over 4X as many over all. 2055 of them to Pittsburgh's 421. www.familywatchdog.us better never hear one of you date raping, can't get a woman with my tiny peep unless i hold her down, child molesting hypocrits say anything else about Ben.

Even with the weakest schedule in the NFL, and 4 games against easy teams, even with that, after 4 games the Browns would still not be in the playoffs.

          PATHETIC.

First off, who says that the Browns have a weak schedule, so much as the weakest in the NFL? Because they have played the winless Colts and Dolphins?

Those teams perhaps seem weak....but that is because the Browns beat them.

And the Bengals whom they played would actually be a playoff team right now, and the Titans are not in only because of a tie-breaker in the AFCS.

As for the future, the Browns seemed like they had a "weak" schedule because they had teams that didn't perform very well last year.....like the Bills, 49ers, Raiders etc. But how do those teams look now?

While i like your optimism and enthusiasm, the Browns just suck again this year, even with an easy schedule. It may not be the easier in the league, but it's much easier than last seasons.

Well, you know, that is why they play the games. Let's just wait and see what happens.

A lot of people had the Eagles making the Super Bowl. How is that looking now?

True but they had them winning before the season started. From what i've seen from our guys, we need massive personnel improvements. But the optimism does sometime help my pessimistic view. Keep the hope alive, i'm trying to...

theres a huge difference. the eagles were impressive last year and made a lot of big splashes in free agency to get even better.

the browns werent any good last year and didnt make any moves in free agency worth noting.

its great to cheer on the browns but they arent very good...its ok to admit that

Thank you, we all know we arent that good this year, but its ok, we're still fans!

Lets look at the realistic bright side, the Falcons did not make the playoffs on that list, which means we would have 2 top 20 picks and when we are on the cusp, then we will make smart, more knowledgeable decisions in free agency.

I'd rather die hard than live limp.

My post has nothing to do with predicting who I or anyone else thinks will win the respective divisions and WCs, it is reflective of what TODAY's NFL standings are...and who would be in if the season ended today. Besides, if you were making predictions you forgot one WC in the AFC and both in the NFC. You cannot forget them. After all, the Packers, defending champions, got in the playoffs as a WC..

                          Funny, isn't it?

Even with the weakest schedule in the NFL, and 4 games against easy teams, even with that, after 4 games the Browns would still not be in the playoffs.

                          PATHETIC.

Ghoolie are you xxxxing mentally challenged?

Bro you are basing pathetic on? On a team who has 1 more win then we do after week 5......

If we were 1-4 I would prob be down at out, but we're 2-2 playing 500 ball coming off the bye week, can you stop being a browns fan you probably complain to security to make people like me sit down when the browns have a chance to win games jesus.

In Cleveland failure is an artform.
