Shurmer Need To Go!

The Browns Board

  • our beloved brown deserve a coach with at least some head coaching experience, this is exactly when you settle - Holmgren couldn't obtain his first choice so he settled for this bum, this guy has mismanaged so many games, has made so many piss poor in game choices, today's game (11/27/2011) is just another example of his epic failure as a head coach. and if Mike Holmgren can't see this then he needs to go as well, we where better off with Eric Mangini running the team,

this version of the west coast offense Shurmer is running sucks!!! Bill Walsh would be ashamed!!!

  • yeah, Shurmur is a joke!! First half the running game was doing quite well and with a pathetic passing game he continues to throw the ball in the 2nd half. All our running backs were healthy. Where was our 100 yard rusher from last week? Hardesty was ready to play, no? I am just sick and tired of his bullshet playcalling!!

  • Fire the entire staff. You're up by ten at half. And we still lose. What a joke, fuck the browns

  • Uh, the coach don't catch the ball. Little needs to be cut tonight. Pathetic. It's like he's out there on acid or something.

  • Are any of u older than 12? Cut little? How fucking clueless are u idiots?

Hardesty tweaked his calf muscle pre-game and was only available in an emergency

situation. Probably hurt it steeping off the bus.

I thought it was a bad call at the end of the game to try the field goal

from the 45 yard line. If was into the wind and if/when you miss it the Bengals

only need 20 yards or so to win the game with a field goal with the wind.Punt it

deep, hold them, use your timeouts and get closer or try a deep filed goal with

    time running out.

Uh, but the coach calls the plays! And as I mentioned above why disn't he run the ball more in the 2nd half? Trying to push that WCO down our throats?? At one point in the 1st half he ran the eye formation and we were running the ball right down their throats. So dumbass Shumur decides to throw the damn ball 80% of the time in the 2nd half!! Bottom line, Shurmur "blows"!

  • I liked Mangini and hated the Shurmur hire. But the guy is at least making adjustments and improvements. This team has played much better the past couple of weeks. They can actually score a touchdown on offense.

The kicking game has been very bad and drops have killed us. I hated shurmur but I think he's starting to learn the players and make adjustments. You gotta give him some time.

I really disliked mangini all the way around, shurmur i like but i do not like what he is trying to do with the offense or should i say what he is not doing with the offense imho and early evaluation i wouldnt even hire shurmur as an OC simply because he is not truly an offensive minded guy and is far to state of the art dense to really get what offensive minded means..

Not sure what games you are watching, but the ONLY adjustments this guy is making, are the wrong ones! The guy is terrible!! Yeah, He didn't drop the passes, he didn't make the poor throws, but he had a running game today in the 1st half, but decided to go away from it in the 2nd half up 10 pts.. and decided to shove the lousy passing down our throats and let the Bungles get back in the game. He's not a head coach and he's a poor excuse of a offensive coord.!

  • Well we are possible two bad snaps away from being 6-5. Never know how the game will play out but two made FGs could have us at a winning record. Not ready to throw a first year coach that inheirited a team with zero talent under the bus.

    ahahahahahahahaha

this is why cleveland will never win anything

11 games into his first season you guys are calling for his head

he came in and switched the entire offense and defense and you expect it all to gel in one season? his players are built for a ground and pound offense and a 3-4 defense and he comes in and implements a west coast passing offense and a 4-3 defense

i dont like shurmur but if the front office doesnt give this guy a chance to get his pieces in place then the browns will continue their losing ways for the next decade

look at it positively....at least they have a shot at drafting justin blackmon or alshon jeffries next year

I totally agree with you. We have to remember that this system is fairly new to the players and the players are still new to the staff. As we progress things will start to open up more. Id say if we make some good picks in the draft and pick up a few key vets, by 2013 we will have real reason to get exited about our team. Untill then its gonna be one hell of a rollercoaster ride.

  • Yeah, Little sucks - he catches the ball just like Braylon Edwards, if Holmgren can't draft a decent receiver and he won't pay Hillis his fuckin' stupid ass should go to, i mean lets face it Detroit went o-fer a couple of years ago and they turned it around. Maybe Holmgren isn't as smart as he was lucky to have Favre!!!

ill give you a couple reasons why you should not even post...cause as they say, better to be thought of as a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt.

    1. little catches like braylon? why not elaborate on such a baseless claim.

    2. you really think holmgren runs the draft? do you even know what his job title is?

    3. you think overpaying for a RB is a good idea? lmao....please explain in the context of the WCO....

    4. how many years of drafting top 5 did detroit have before actually contending?

    5. holmgrens failures in the FO are abound....name one failure of his as the HC...the role you think he has no credibility in.

seriously...you kids that just run your mouth with no actual evidence to support your opinions are getting old and redundant. open the doors to your genius if you can....

That's it? a rude insult? what are we clueless about, please enlighten us! what are we missing oh great one with all the wisdom!!!!!

not that i disagree with the premise, but if you think he just abandoned the run cause he wanted to, then you truly dont understand what you are watching. i suspect this is as complicated as your thought process goes. use any number of exclamation points you want....it surely doesnt make your point any more worthwhile.

try calming down and post the reasons you think like you do...cause simply saying "he's terrible" isn't doing anything beyond baseless whining.

Right, no positive yardage on first down, dropped pass on second down, another miss on third down = punt. and I hate to complain, but Shurmur should have gotten a clue and taken what the refs were giving the Bengals all day, they were running pick plays and offensive interference and not getting it called.

  • The players may be starting to question the coaching. Here's what Cribbs said after the loss. “We can rile the team up to give a good effort,” said Cribbs. “We have good effort, so what is left? If we have good effort and we’re still not winning, I don’t know what it is. The way we just lost, how can you explain that?” Interpret it how you choose but I would say that could only been directed at Shurmer or McCoy, either way their obviously frustrated. And he sounds malcontent with his opportunities to make a play. Could be upset with blocking on ST's, opportunities on the offensive side, or both...“I’m trying to take advantage of the opportunities; the little ones that I get, I’m trying to take advantage of all of them,” Cribbs said. “I wish I could break a return and do this and that, but what I’m doing is not good enough, obviously. It’s not good enough. I’m tired of losing.”

ive not liked the guy since the day he was hired....what you describe are the struggles of a coach learning on the job. now 12 weeks in and he's still figuring out how to scheme....its certainly not good, i agree. but we're stuck with him....

we can only hope holmgrens nepotism hire will get it sooner than later....otherwise, the next 2 seasons are gonna be more frustrating than this one.
