Since it probably won't be tonight, what's the greatest browns game of all time for you? For me it has to be the 'marathon by the lake' January 1987 browns over jets in double ot. No matter how bad things get ill always have that game.

Early man walked away as modern man took control. Their minds weren't all the same and to conquer was their goal. So He built his great empires and he slaughtered his own kind, and he died a confused man and killed himself in his own mind...

Channeling "Casablanca" are we? "We'll always have Paris". Thanks Bogey.

That game is certainly memorable....but then, you see I remember the 1964 NfL title game won over the Colts 27-0.

I do not remember prior title game victories from the 50s. So I will say the '64 NFL title game.

Pretty simple the NFL Championship 1964 Brown shut out record scoring Baltimore Colts 27-0

the last shutout in an NFL Championship Game

and I got others that are awesome as well

Offense Wins.......Franchise QB's are the key.............Defense keeps you in the game.........Go Buckeyes

Actually, I was at that game, and the Browns played like crap. Kosar bailed us out after Gastineau's stupid late hit, and we were all happy as hell.

It's hard to pinpoint one game, but one of my favorites was 1980, when Sipe rallied us and we beat Pittsburgh 27-26. I can still hear Gib Shanley on the play..."Newsome's got it!!!Touchdown Browns"

Phipps to Pitts at San Diego, 1972 MNF was a classic as well. I was so fired up,my parents busted me (I was 9) watching in the basement, and I got grounded. The 1972 season was one of my favorites BTW

Tim Couch to Kevin Johnson Hail Mary for the New Browns first Victory! It was against The New Orleans Saints.

'07 wasnt it? Yeah that was a great game to watch. I had such low expectations in that game, but they delivered big time. Too bad they don't look like that every time.

Yeah, I've only followed football since they brought back the Brownies. I'm originally from Phoenix, Az. mostly watched Basketball. But when I moved to Ohio in 1996 I was 14 and a few years later discovered the Browns. I've since learned all the History and Legends but from what I've actually "witnessed", that first victory was the sweetest. I also thought that game vs. Cincy where we scored almost a 100 points combined was great! And of course anytime we whoop the Steelers it's as great a feeling as you'll find(however few and far between we earn them)!

OK, then, why don't we qualify this thread to say:

What is the Greatest Browns game since 1999?

I can name one game it SHOULD have been.....the playoff game vs. Pitt. in Pitt. in the 2002 season. 17 point lead in the middle of the third quarter.....then Butch pulls in the reins.

He goes into the prevent D in the middle of the third quarter that allows Pitt. to catch up. Then of course there was the Northrup dropped pass. (Is there any doubt that the recent Browns biggest f88kup was a dropped pass). He catches that, the game is over. But of course he didn't.

Though, I guess I digress....this should be what was the ACTUAL best Browns game since 1999, not what should have been their best.

How about last year's butt whipping they put on New England? 34-14. Laid the wood to them. Preceded by beating the defending SB Champ Saints one week earlier. Two games with a lot of promise. What happenned to that team?

I am a younger guy and never was into any sports as a child. For me it would have to be the 2007 blizzard game against the Bills. Both teams were in wildcard slots and I had been to 3 games that season, all wins. To be there with that amount of snow and wind and cold... impressive. Clearing the hash marks with leaf blowers and whatever? Gane was nuts. spent a lot of time throwing snowballs at bills fans too. Just good clean fun and a wicked kicker to seal the deal. Then we lose our spot in playoffs because someone decided to rest their players. (then anderson decided to make a complete and total jackass of himself in the probowl)

I like the saints game over the patriots game because of the fake punt, lateral and bowens' 2 pick-sizes
