At this point, based on how things fall, the Browns could actually be drafting as high as 4th with their own pick and 22d to 25th with their second pick. Here is the current draft order with today's standings:

    1. Colts

    2. Vikings

    3. Rams (could tie Vikes with loss tonight)

4 through 9: Browns, Panthers, Redskins, Jags, Dolphins, Buccaneers

    10-13: Bills, Chiefs, Eagles, Seahawks

    14-15: Cardinals, Chargers

16-21: Bengals, Titans, Raiders, Giants, Cowboys, Bears

22-25: Falcons (Browns pick), Lions, Broncos, Jets

26-31: 49ers, Saints, Texans, Ravens, Steelers, Patriots.

    32. Packers

Players that may be available to Browns in the 4-9 spot per various mock drafts that I perused:

    Robert Griffin III QB Baylor

    Matt Barkley QB USC

    Justin Blackmon WR Ok St.

    Morris Claiborne Corner LSU

    Trent Richardson RB Alabama

    Devon Still DT Penn St.

    Quinton Couples DE North Carolina

    Alshon Jeffrey WR South Carolina

    Jonathan Martin OT Stanford

    D'Andre Kirkpatrick Corner Alabama

    Courtney Upshaw OLB Alabama

    Riley Rieff OT Iowa

    Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame

    Alfonso Dennard Corner Nebraska

Players that could be available at 22-25:

    Kelechi Osemele OT Iowa St.

    Vontaze Burfict LB Ariz. St.

    Luke Kuechley LB Boston College

    Landry Jones QB Oklahoma

    Zach Brown OLB North Carolina

    Chase Minniefield Corner Virgina

Also, Upshaw, Floyd, Dennard, Still from the 4-9 list could drop this low

Also, here are some new names I have not heard to consider:

    Lamar Miller RB Miami

    Janoris Jenkins Corner No. Alabama

    Devin Taylor LB So. Carolina

    Jarek Crick DE Nebraska

    Mark Barron Safety Alabama

    Zebrie Sanders OT Fla. St.

    Alameda Te'Amo DT Washington

    Jayron Hosley Safety Va. Tech

    Kendell Wright WR Baylor

Also, FYI, Manti Te'o from Notre Dame who has appeared in most mock drafts has declared that he is going back to Notre Dame for another year.

If you really think they have to have a QB, it ain't going to be by going up to #1. Luck should be know as Lock in that he is a lock to go to Indy.

You would have to look at Barkley or RGIII I think.

To me, Barkley can go Bark up a tree. I might be interested in RGIII..but I don't know if the Browns braintrust sees him as a WCO guy.

I might like it because it would give the Browns a different type of QB than the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals have.

They all have pretty much pure pocket passers with BR, Flacco, and Dalton. Though these guys can move in the pocket, none of them are what you would call "Mobile" (Colt McCoy is more mobile than any of them). So, if RGIII is a guy they might like....and why would they not like a mobile guy in the WCO, after all, Steve Young was one of the best mobile guys around, why not?

(FYI, I do believe at this point that Dalton is ahead of where either Flacco or BR were at this point in their careers. He ultimately has the potential to be better than both. He would have to have the team around him the Rats and Squibs have had...and I don't trust Mike Brown or Marvin Davis to do that for him, but the potential is there.)

Perhaps the future of the AFC North is a good old Texas Shootout: TCU's Dalton playing for the Bengals vs. the Browns with Baylor's RGIII.

Perhaps its time for these 2 teams to take supremacy over this division, what do you think?

The entire draft this year (including both #1's) and probably the #1 in 2013 and 2014. Moving up for Andrew Luck isn't worth that when we are likely to have a good chance at Barkly or RGIII with our pick if we're going to go with a QB at the top of round 1.

I'm leery of RG3, simply because of the style of play in the Big 12. There doesn't seem to be a lot of quality defense there.

Call me crazy (I'm sure many will), but I want the best OLB with our first pick, and then a WR with Atlanta's pick.

If they lure a good WR in free agency, then get another OLB with Atlanta's pick, or a RB.

We cannot go into another season with weak LBs, especially if they stay committed to the 4-3 D.

Sure, face it, Colt McCoy had a far better record in the Big 12 than RGIII had.

No way we get the #1 spot. Indy will not trade out and give up on (from all the hype) another potential franchise QB.

    I like barkley...

I'm not ready to throw in the towl on colt mccoy just yet. We need to surround him with some weapons and see what he can do.

When your team lacks talent, you need to have lots of draft picks. Trading all our picks for one player would be horrible idea.

One because who ever you drafted would have un reasonable expectations.

And b because of the lack of talent around them you would be setting someone up for failure.

The schedule works in the favor of the Browns the rest of the way to get a higher pick

week 15-All the team that have 4 wins should lose next week

Week 16- Washington should win gets them to 5 wins

Panthers-Bucs play each other someone will win so theres another team to 5 wins

    Jax,Cle, Miami, say Panthers lose

Week 17- Jax wins play Indy

If this happens I believe we would be drafting 6th, but with the Panthers they could easy steal one from someone to put us 5th, and I do not think Miami will win another game. You never know thou with coaching change sometimes players play out of there mind

In terms of Andrew Luck, the Colts may consider trading you the number 1 overall pick for both of your first round picks and possibly a 4th rounder. The Colts owe Manning a ton of money and it makes very little sense to sit Luck for more than a year. Cleveland has to lose out and has to get the no lower than the 4th overall pick to attract Indy. Having 2 picks in the first to trade for the number 1 overall pick gives Cleveland an advantage neither Minnesota or St. Loius have. With so much invested in Manning the Colts want to win now as opposed to reloading for a future run, therefore 2 picks this year is way better than a 1st this year and next.

It may be hard for the Browns to lose their final game, if the Steelers lose to SF next Monday night. If the Steelers are going the wildcard route, Tomlin will sit any/every starter with a hint of injury (and James Harrison to keep him from getting suspended). Assuming a Steelers wildcard run, there will never be a more gift-wrapped game for the Browns to take. You'll have to look like you're intentionally throwing that game to lose it.

Still even if you can trade to get Luck, you have no recievers unless your team makes a big, big splash in FA, assuming there are some big names to pick up this off-season.

    Some good editing here.

Look at the play at 3:11. 479 Yards on a #2 defense. He is like Vick but is smart and can throw it.

Barkley almost looks as good as Luck. Look at ironically 3:11, him check down on 3 receivers. Check out minute 4:00, staying IN THE POCKET and delivers are perfect pass.

I don't know. I think I have heard that it would take at least 3+ first round picks to get to move up to get him. That would mean both our #1s this year and next years...plus more picks.

These are all difficult to interpret how they will transform to the pros. I am sure you can find footage of Andre Ware where he looked like the best thing since sliced bread. Same for Matt Leinert.

You just don't know. You can only hope....if you take him.

If we lose out, I'd get a WR with that first pick - both Jeffrey and Blackmon will be better than Jones. Yes, RG3 will be available but we have so many needs that a new QB is neither the answer nor the problem.

Then Kuechly with our second pick in the first round. If Burfict slips to the top of the second, which isn't implausible given his questionable character, he'd be a great value pick. We also need a pass-rushing RDE and CB help to replace the aging Sheldon.

We also need a RG at some point - Pashos is not an NFL starter.

Blackmon at 4-6 and Minnifield at 22-25

Address LB OL rest of the draft to hit that crown jewel.

If i had a way to draft Barkley/Blackmon with two top 10 picks i might make some moves but without some type of ungodly give away of picks that won't happen so i would be happy with Black and Minni with the two picks.

RG3 would be the flashy pick, and I would love him to be in Cleveland based on his personality and attitude alone.

But he doesn't get hit a lot, because he's so damn fast. A QB that doesn't get hit a lot in college doesn't normally translate into a QB who succeeds in the NFL. Cam Newton is like the perfect, prototypical scrambling QB. He is big. fast, and got slammed around a bunch in college. So much so that it's made him just as elusive and adept at shrugging off would-be tacklers in the NFL.

Guys who never get touched and simply outrun their opponents find that they can't outrun everyone in the NFL, and then they don't know what to do.

I would like to see Blackmon and then Zach Brown or Burfict if they slip to our second pick. The reason our linebackers suck is because they are slow. Why the hell would the draft a slow middle linebacker like Luke Keuchly. Manti Te'o is one I like much better than Keuchly but after the other two. Second round I would go either corner like Minnifield/Hosley or a Tackle like Levy Adcock or any others who may have slipped out of the first round.
