lord, here we go again. this season isn't even over and you guys already in here naming the next messiah........suprised no one has claimed "browns are on their way to a SB and AFCN domination!"........guess that will take at least a month after the season ends for that.
oh, and for those thinking that a high draft pick is gonna some how save your team? lol. cause i mean cleveland hasnt' had any high draft picks lately. you know, if they could only have drafted in the top ten picks the last 8 out of 10 yrs or so they'd have surely taken that talent and put it to good use..............right?
high draft picks DO NOT = WINS!!!!!
what's the average pick of the bronws the last 10yrs? between 5th and 9th?
what's the average pick of the Steelers the last 10yrs? between 24 and 29?
not actual #'s, but you should be able to figure out what i'm sayin.

It's the difference between good management and bad management..

Carolina won, Miami won, Seatlle won, Washington won, KC won, The Browns won't catch Indy, Stl, or Minn, but if we lose out we will be picking 4th, 5th, or 6. But then again they will probably win against the Cards and screw it up anyway.

those were some pretty good videos of RG3, NW220...except I guess you have to look at the staggering Defenses in the big 12...In everyone of those videos (that wasnt in the 1st quater) the score was 40-50. Who has Matt Barkley or Luck played out there in the pac10? I know theres some pretty tough teams out that way

Colt can be a QB that can do good if he is surrounded by talent, but those are not the kind of QB's that take you deep into the playoffs or to the superbowl. The teams that constantly make it to the playoffs and superbowl are the ones that have QB's that can do well without a great O-Line, WRs, or Running game.

Name one. I don't think you can. And don't say Brady or Manning as their surrounding players were a lot better than people give them credit for.

By "Mike Wallace" I'm assuming that you are referring to a steal in later rounds? Even though selecting a stud WR in the 3rd round isn't that big of a steal considering most stud WRs are selected in the second round. The steelers selecting Antonio Brown in the 6th round of 2010 is a much bigger steal. There have been great WRs selected later than the 3rd round too: Marques Colston 7th round 2006, Donald Driver 7th round 1999, Brandon Marshall 4th round 2006, ect.
Anyway, Cleveland has a few steals: Ahtyba Rubin DT 6th round 2008, Lawrence Vickers RB 6th round 2006, Andra Davis LB 5th round 2002 (Rubin obviously is the biggest steal listed)
But management has butchered our draft picks for years. The last 2 years we finally made some good picks in the 1st couple rounds. The key to drafts is to make good choices in the first few rounds and get lucky once and a while in the later rounds. No one (not even the steelers) can draft a late round steal that often..

Rich, you know I like you, but get over this dime a dozen lineman thing.
It sounds ignorant, and I don't think you are.
I agree. We need to get some guys with some "shake and bake" as I call it, but don't make it sound like you can keep selecting O-line in the 6th round and make it work.
That isn't so.

Here's what I see happening if we get the fourth pick. The top 4 will be Indy, St. Louis, Minn, and us. Indy takes Luck, St L takes a tackle and Minn takes Blackmon. We could go running back or QB here. However, I think there will be teams in the 5-10 range that will want the second best QB available whoever it is. I think that a team like Washington will get nervous and want to trade up to get their guy. I see us trading down and picking up a couple more picks. It makes the most sense and we can still get the guy I want in the top 10, Richardson.

If you draft a QB in the first round you won't improve that much. Haven't you learned from the years of "Musical Quarterbacks" that has been played. The Turds are in a great spot this year. If they play it right, playoffs won't be far off. All you will have is a good QB with no weapons. Cleveland has 2 first round picks. Use them on Trent Richardson and the best WR available! Justin Blackmon will be gone, but Michael Floyd could be there on the 20th to 22nd or so pick. If he isn't you should take the best lineman or CB available, then snach up Alshon Jeffery or Kendall Wright in the 2nd.
Don't be surprised if your Browns pass all this and RG3 for Matt Barkley of USC.

I'm really bored... bored with the Browns... bored with football... Cleveland just makes me down... and to, and to think about what the above poster said about going conservative and having too many choices and about picking the wrong guy... I was all on"board" with ya all the way through!
