Consensus Mock Drafts
-
The Browns from what I understand would currently have picks #4, #24, and #36 in next year's draft. I have done a survey of about 50 mock drafts and these are the consensus of which players would most likely be picked at those various positions. I am giving you these in the order in which each player got "votes":
#4 A. Maurice Claiborne CB LSU B. B. GriffinIII QB Baylor C. Quinton Coples DE No. Carolina C. Justin Blackmon WR Ok. St. E. Trent Richardson RB Ala. F. Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame F. Alshon Jeffrey WR So. Caro G. Johnathon Martin OT Stanford.
#24 A. Janoris Jenkins CB No. Alabama B. Cordy Glenn OG Georgia C. Zach Brown LB UNC D. Courtney Upshaw DE Ala. D. Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame F. Alfonzo Dennard CB Nebraska F. Devon Still DT Penn St.
#36 A. Kendell Wright WR Baylor B. Dwight Jones WR UNC
In both the #24 spot and the #36 spot there were a ton of other people who were slotted in those positions.

I'm not entirely sure this hasn't been discussed before... but what if we were to lose the remaining two games and ALL THREE of the other teams ahead of us in the draft were to win out? That would be a four way tie for the overall pick... wouldn't it? I'd have to guess that we would have the toughest strength of schedule, with what having Pitt and Balt in our division. Would that theoretically give us the first pick of the draft??? Just curious...

Indy can only get to 3 wins, so they will always be ahead of us

Not to mention the Browns actually have one of the easier strength of schedules anyways

Correct- so let's look at the possibilities of the draft bowl winners.
RAMS: Likely to lose out with games against the Steelers and San Francisco.
VIKINGS: Washington, Chicago possible split, probable lose out. 3-10 at best.
TAMPA: (tied with Browns) Panthers, Falcons. Should beat the Panthers, maybe not.
JAGUARS: (tied with Browns) Titans, Colts. Should beat Colts.
So best case scenario is 4th (Browns lose out) , worst is 6th, or way worse yet if we pull off two upsets. Have at it. With the 4th over all, We maybe can get Blackmon from the Rams if we give up the Atlanta pick- so what do you draft gurus have to say about that?

No player at 4 worth the risk and money and none that would attract a trade.
You see one?

What is your opinion on Landry Jones and how he will fit the system run here ?
-
Landry doesn't have a bigtime arm. We have two of those already. I wonder if Richardson really will stay in school....
Barkley wanted his last year to go to a bowl game and win it....
THe player the Browns need most is Blackmon, the most dramatic choice would be RGIII, the most improvement to the defense
would be Claiborne, Coples is a monster, but allegedly doesn't have Sheard's quickness laterally.....
choices, choices. Should be an amazing draft - again.
