Just as long as they don't hire Ryan 12 minutes after the jets fire him.

  • huh? youve gotta be kidding me

    Me? Nope, Not kidding.

  • Who's kidding? Sherman is light years ahead of Shurmur.

    Ryan is a blowhard.

  • Sherman is awful and Ryan sucks huge and so does Shurmur.............get somebody else...............I would trade in Heckert for Polian in a nanosecond

and please consider RGIII, Luck is a big overhyped, RGIII has better physical skills and is also intelligent and took a crap program to a great year

  • lol...after the majority of the year spent defending these idiots, saying shit takes time. now your saying dump him?

are you admitting you were wrong?

  • I stopped defending Shurmur after game 6 or 7, but who knows. He might end up being a good coach. I just like Mike Sherman as a coach better. Heck I'd rather have John Fox too. I'd also take Polian over Holmgren in a heartbeat. Polian did good work in Carolina and Indianapolis.

  • anybody but shurmur. but his boy holmgren won't fire him. only way shurmur is gone is if lerner pulls the plug on holmgren.

polian as pres. of browns? hell yeah but he'd probably want his son as the GM and i wouldn't want to see heckert go. polian jr. sucks as a gm. heckert has done alot better here in his 2 years.

back to head coach. only thing i like about shurmur is that he's young and maybe that makes him more succeptable (sp) to learn and conform, whereas these old fxxks won't change for anything. john fox? F no. that guy is as stubborn as a brick. that coaching job sunday was a flippin joke.

  • I wish we could fire Shurmur, but as long as there is a fat ass sitting in that chair we are not going to make any corrections ! Chudzinski is being interviewed for the Panthers HC position ! And he was our OC .......

  • huh? what happened to Riviera?

  • As it has been stated, Holmgren is sticking with Shurmur. Holmgren has already said that this is basically year 1 part 2, because he kept Mangini around last year. I hated shurmur plays this year worse than I hated Dabol's last year, and I didn't think it could get any worse. But, let's see what happens with what we can only pray will be a good draft and off season and into training camp.

  • Shurmur said they were aggressive in most of the end of the game and clock management situations, this team is in more trouble than we thought. He needs to look up the word Aggressive in the dictionary!!!!

  • I still like shurmur better than mangini but he is in the danger zone of being considered a poor quality coach like mangini with his newbie no trust, copy and paste cookie cutter coaching, for now im trying to look at it like this, his first year as an HC along with the responsibility of being his own OC and he had to implement new systems while only getting a few weeks of prep time with his less than stellar new team with a bunch of rookies and journeymen filling out many of the starting positions and a boatload of game changing injuries...

The guy at worst deserves another year to fix this shit, im not yet convinced he is as bad as he looked due to the team playing hard for him without a loaded gun to their heads and being his first year he didnt screw up as often as ex 5 yr HC eric mangini did on critical decisions though the results ended up the same (us losing) so maybe this is fixable..

Rams fans called shurmur right as far as not being a true offensive minded coordinator and a poor and over conservative playcaller, unfortunately they appear to be right, H&H need to bring in an OC that is truly offensive minded as well as gifted and turn over the playcalling responsibility to him..

Our new OC needs to be someone experienced and not another newbie learning the job from a bad playcaller in shurmur on the fans time and dime..

Shurmur needs to gain a pair of balls offensively and try to trust his players to execute in critical situations, jauron on the flipside shows that he is indeed a very talented DC not afraid to gamble on man coverage and will likely be going away to become a HC again at some point..

We need to see if pat shurmur can actually coach, we know he sucks at playcalling and he was pretty much nothing but an OC this year, though a pathetic one..

Perhaps when he is just the HC he will make better decisions in critical situations, the upside is that he is young but the unknown side is can or will he change and can he adjust and evaluate how to use what heckert throws at him..

I tend not to judge coaches by what they have for talent to work with but rather how they and their assistants use and apply that talent or in shurmurs case failed to use existing talent..

  • Sorry Holmgren... no year-one do-over. It doesn't work that way. The team should have been better this year. This was the second year with players your regime has drafted and picked up in free agency. The team should have been better. So, it's either the coach or the players. Which is it? (We know it's the coach, but who knows, he might turn out to be good)

  • im more than willing to give murmur another shot if they bring in some OC help. he is young...
