OK, only the nth "draft thread" started just today. As important as it is to the Browns future, this is sure going to start burning me out. All I can say is one site that has the following as the best at their positions in the draft. (first number is their rank overall) CBS, NFLDraftscout.com:

    4 *Morris Claiborne CB 1 LSU Jr 6-0 185 1 4.45

Are there position specific areas that are going to be more strong next draft as opposed to this draft. Say, if this draft class is light on probowl caliber WRs, and next years crop looks much more promising then would you guys suggest that we upgrade in relation to what will be available next year as well in evaluating who to draft where, this year? 😵

If Blackmon, Richardson, Kalil or RG3 are on the board when we select at 4. Who is the franchise player and why? Who will be a stud for the next 7-10 years in an orange and brown helmet. We cannot afford to keep drafting high and letting our #1 picks go in FA or traded to teams like the raiders for third round compensation(Wimbley)... Whoever we pick up in the first round MUST be an instant starter and be an upgrade at the position as well as able to HOLD onto that position for the long term. So far in the last three drafts we seem to have gotten it right. Mack, Haden, Taylor. Those three picks should be Browns for a long time. Also, they are so good that I don't see anyone coming out the draft any time soon that would be and upgrade over these guys. That's what I'm talking about. Do you see those factors in any of the players that are coming out. 1)They will instantly start, produce, and upgrade the position significantly. 2)They will be a LONG TERM fixture on the Browns and be a stud 3)They are good enough that come next year there won't be someone better that we could replace them with...
