Colts Fire Caldwell

Just saw it on ESPN. IMO, sounds like the Colts are rebooting. Wouldn't be surprised if the next step is to cut Manning.

miktoxic

i don't think they'll 'cut' manning. you mean trade him. they aren't just gonna let him walk away. too much invested in him.

caldwell sucked. worse than shurmur...i guess.

BadNewsBrowns

They will either stick with Manning or cut him.

Here is a webpage explaining the financial details.

yeah a site dedicated to the seahawks by a website wonder journalist.

GTFO.

BadNewsBrowns

So you think the guy is lying and making stuff up because it's a Seahawks site?

Here's another unbiased web page saying the same thing, which the Seattle guy basically just copied and re worded.

What idiot GM or Owner is going to trade for a $28 million bonus?

Not to mention Profootballtalk.com with Mike Florio says the same stuff. I'm going to guess a major reason that Polian got fired is because first, they gave Manning a contract that size without first giving him a physical. Second, because they essentially allowed clauses in the contract that make it virtually impossible to trade Manning dollar-wise.

choco

colts would have to pay mannings bonus to trade him. not. gonna. happen.

he's either gonna get cut or paid.

Caldwell should go down in history as one of the worst head coaches ever. There is absolutely no excuse for going from a top NFL team to a team that barely won a game all year just because of the loss of 1 player. That team layed down and QUIT all year long!
