Hillis -Cia?

The Browns Board

  • Hillis....

you gotta be fucking kidding me right now.

  • You know, this clown had the chance to be the new King of Cleveland. All he had to do was think straight, do and say the right things. I wanted to be a fan of his for a long time. He started off saying the right things, now he is picking up the "me" virus. I did hear that he dropped his agent and is looking for a new one.

If the guy's heart is not in it to play football and he is questioning that. Than we don't need him. We need someone that wants to play and wants to win a Superbowl. That's why they play.

Unfortunately they play for money first, superbowl second now a days.

  • If he's gonna be this ridiculous, then let him walk.

just make up your goddamn mind and decide if you want to help the Browns, or go join the MIB's.

this is the LAST thing I expected reading about when i got up this morning

    the CIA? really?

  • He's such an idiot. Looking for his 4th agent since 2011. This guy must have such a huge inflated ego (and for not much). He had one good season, not great. Changing agents that much means the agents know he's not worth what he wants so he dump them.

    Fck this guy.

  • Adam Schefter says Peyton Hillis considered retiring and joining the CIA.

Are the Browns playing a dirty PR game trying to lower Hillis' value?

Or is Hillis this much of a wackadoo.

I think some of this crap is made up....or perhaps the players say this stuff in jest. Like a lot of these guys that think that they can be rock/rap stars if they weren't football players.

Another thing to consider is that Hillis just got married this past year. You know those new trophy wives and how much influence they can have sometimes on their new husbands. She may be whispering in his ear how much she thinks he should be worth and that any agent that tells him the straight dope may be interfering the wife's delusion of his value.

Such things do happen. Anyone who has ever seen even a snippet of the "Basketball Wives" on TV can tell you what absolute diva bitches some of these women can be. I don't mean to come out sounding sexist, but the fact is, this shit can be real.

  • if we don't sign Hillis we are going after Trent...cross your finger some government agency doesn't come after him one night.

They make em different down there in the South. That's for sure.

And thank God for that, but yeah, having a "Secret Agent Man" wanna be on the team is a bit puzzling.

But, it's a good song, so I'll post the Johnny Rivers classic.

  • Now I apologize, by 8PM I have had a nip of the "stuff" and I like Johnny Rivers and this is a Rockabilly classic. Really, a great tune....a new band could cover this and make a bundle.....good songs are good songs.

( I like the Dylan impersonation after the mid point instrumental)

  • God, Hillis is so weird these days.

  • If all reported is true & I had my say, I'd wish Hillis good luck with his future plans but we no longer need or want him. There would be NO offer forthcoming from the Browns. There are some good backs in the draft & I fully recall his detachment from his team & teammates in 2011.

    Mike

  • This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Every person in the NFL has an idea of what job they would be working in/would want to be working in if they didn't play in the nfl. That just happens to be Hillis career interest if he didn't play football. He isn't going to be like that T from the giants who retired after 4 seasons to go into politics or the RB from Washington who retired after 1 to become a preacher.

And as far as his agent goes, this last one certainly deserved to be fired, he has done a shitty ass job. As far as the other 2 who knows. Did you guys ever think that this last agent got fired because he was the one fucking up talks to get more money, maybe feeding Hillis a bunch of bullshit and he had enough of it.

Um, no we're not. If we take a RB at all, it will be in the lower rounds. If we lose out on the RGIII derby, we're taking Blackmon.

FWIW, Walter's Football has Hillis ranked as the 11th FA running back available with two stars. Here's what they had to say about him. Ray Rice and Arian Foster at the top of the list with five. (Both will likely be franchised, if their respective teams can't work out a long term deal.) Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back Ghoolie. Obnoxios or not- the guy is right again. 🙂

"Peyton Hillis is a tough runner with good pass-catching ability when healthy, but the problem is that he's always banged up. He's just way too unreliable, and his fumbling issues don't help.

Update: Hillis reportedly has thought about quitting football to become a CIA agent. Umm... what? Teams will definitely question his dedication."

Peyton isn't getting as big a payday as he thinks- at least not from the Browns.

  • This dude really let the Madden Cover go to his head.

  • Pretty sure I understand the lack of a tag and low-ballish offer now...

    Bottom line:

    - From his season end performance Hillis can still play and from the same he still wants to play.

    - Now it should be a matter of talking to McCoy, Cribbs, Thomas, Fujita and other team leaders to see if he's an asset or a liability in the locker room. For now, we should be the only team with that info. From the middling offer it would seem he's neither, just kind of a neutral.

If I had an offer reduced as much as his has been, I'd fire my agent, too...

  • This is pretty crazy...I once though Peyton was a good ole Arkansas boy who just got it done and didnt care, now its looking like hes a diva Hollywood head case who wants to go do intel on Foreign Countries...Am i missing something here does the Browns team have a Shrink???

Only one problem...these are all MI6 references, not CIA.

  • Maybe PH knows more than we all think:

(though, given this....perhaps Mohammed Massaquoi might be a better CIA operative, ya think?)
