  • Well, Mr. Luck is about to have a shit load of pressure and expectations put on his shoulders

  • Add Manning to the list of QB's the Browns won't get this off-season!

a proven guy and we will pass on him like we have on so many others.

    Seriously?

    1. He would never come here.

    2. There is no way of knowing his health status.

    3. He doesn't have many years left.

    4. One big hit and it could end his career or leave him paralyzed.

As much as I like Manning, no thanks. We need a long term answer at qb, not a band aid.

Point #4 is false. He doesn't stand any higher a chance of paralysis than any other player due to this injury, unlike his brother. The type of nerve damage here is muscular nerves.

  • I think Peyton Manning would rather commit suicide before he would come here. Although, if he wants the challenge of taking a horrible team and turning it into a playoff contender, I think the challenge would be more than enough for him.

I think this is a major factor......

  • Just for shits and giggles, can someone do a photoshop of Manning in a Browns uni? Someone already did one of RG3.

    ADD IN:

    5. He's going to want to run his system, not H&H&S WCO.

    6. He's going to want to go to a team what he has a reasonable chance of going to the SB this year or next, as Favre did with the Vikes.

Dr. Hoorta says you're wrong. There's no such thing as "muscular nerves". You have nerves that control your muscles. When you fuse bones in your neck, you put additional stress on the vertebrae above and below the fusion. So if you bust one of the bones you may, or may not damage the nerves. Which could result in varying degrees of paralysis, or death. They don't call a broken C2 (second bone in your neck under your skull) a "Hangman's Fracture" for nothing.

  • Muscular nerves?

    Lmao...

  • I think the Texans would stick with Schaub. I could see the Jets but I would think Manning is not a Rex Ryan fan.

Just imagine if San Fran or Baltimore go after him.

  • I think he goes to Arizona. I hope he goes to washington or Miami.

No matter where he goes...the team is an instant playoff and super bowl contender if he stays healthy.

  • hmmm....if manning plays this year, i see his worst season ever as a pro in his future.

  • For as many times as Jim Irsay said UMM already in 5 minutes shows a lack of professionalism already.

And Choco you make me laugh sometimes you really think he would have his WORST season rofl forgot about the just plain bad teams they mention he goes to, i seen a report he could end up on the Cowboys, Texans, Vikings, Broncos, and the 49'ers

    Cardinals, Miami, Redskins, and Browns.

If he plays for those first 5 teams listed dont even think hes gonna have a bad year believe that, the last 4 mentioned can be so-so.

  • I normally don't give a shit about players on other teams, but today saddens me. Peyton Manning in his prime was a thing of beauty to watch. It's sad to see him part ways with the Colts.

  • Chilly has too much ego to give Manning the kind of control over an offense he should have.

you just make me shake my head. so gullible. i suppose you watched his video and now think he's just fine and will be the peyton we all come to know and respect. other people realize that was a heavily edited promotional video made to put pressure on irsay...

so the great prognosticator thinks manning can go to a new team and instantly turn them around? you also believed we'd go 11-5 last year (oh yeah, it was a joke, right?). its a better bet to put money down on the opposite of whatever you say....

I think it'll be one of these teams: Dolphins, Jets, Texans, Titans (wouldnt that be fun?)

Not sure he'd go to the Redskins but who knows.

One thing for sure, the Redskins have a ton of cap room to sign him, and bring along a few of his buddies if that's what they need to seal the deal. As our Washington visitor said, it's going to depend on how much say Shanahan has in the matter. If he's committed to building long term, as are the Browns, Manning winds up somewhere else.

The Browns are committed to their WCO system. Peyton comes with his own offense. That ends that conversation.

I hope he goes to the NFC, because wherever he goes, he's going to win.

I know this will probably sound Retarded . But the best thing for Peyton to happen is for the Cardinals to dump Whisenchuck and his egomaniacal personality and hire Peytons OC from tenn thats coaching at Duke. Then let them run the show.

I understand that Manning and Whisenhut are actually quite close...and that is why the Cardinals may be a prime player for Peyton.

  • Meaningless Gripe:

PEYTON is Hillis, our Hillis, at least for another week.

I know, Manning had it "first" and is the HOF star, yet for Browns Board purposes he is MANNING. Eli is Eli, just to clarify.
