A bit of a followup to the "low draft pick" thread. Here are some Diamonds in the rough that were taken between draft picks 199 and 215 over the years. I have selected what I think is the best player taken over the last 75 years at each particular slot:
199 Tom Brady, future HOF
200 Bart Starr, HOF
201 Jamal Anderson RB Falcons
202 Ernest Jackson RB Chargers 2 Pro Bowls
203 Otis Taylor or Jack Kemp
204 Art Donovan HOF
205 Sam Gash FB 2 Pro Bowls
206 Kevin Gogan OG Cowboys 3 Pro Bowls
207 Jessie Armstead LB 5 PBs
208 Seth Joyner LB Eagles, or Marcel Rivera OG 3 Pro Bowls each
209 Joe Kapp, only 1 Pro Bowl (but this was slot Matt Flynn was taken)
210 Stan Walter OT Bengals, 2 PBs, or Wade Wilson QB Bears
211 Dave Herman OG Jets 2 PBs
212 Harry Galbreath OG 9 year starter
213 Donald Driver WR Packers 3 PBs 10 year starter (note, slot Derek Andersen taken)
214 Ken Houston Hall of Fame DB
215 either Mosi Tatupu RB, 1 PB, or Cortland Finegan DB also 1 PB. Finegan has more time.
