One catch for 18 yards. (you see, I was allowed to look up the answer because yours was not an official trivia question)

But to officially respond to your reply: NO, the answer is not Brady Quinn. He was not drafted as a WR.

But, I will give you a hint: that one reception for 18 yards is more catches and more yards that the person that is the real answer to the question ever got.

  • Fair Hooker went to Arizona or Arizona St. ... but he's my answer anyway.

    Fair Hooker.

Wrong. If he had been Fair O'Hooker at least he would have sounded like he was Irish.

Question: In their history the Browns have only ever drafted one WR from Notre Dame (in any round). Name that player:

Answer: Mike Miller, taken by the Browns in the 5th round of the 1995 draft. Mike Miller had absolutely no NFL career. No catches at all.

But don't feel bad, the Browns that year also took a WR in the 6th round, AC Tellison from Miami. He also had exactly a -0- career, no catches.

And also in the 5th round they took Tau Pupua, a DT from Weber St. who did not play in an NFL game.

And the Browns other draft picks were:

1st round: Craig Powell, LB Ohio St., started all of 3 games in his career, only played in 14.

3rd round: Eric Zeier QB, Georgia, started a few games for the Browns, 12 in his 5 year career, 3500 total career yards

Mike Frederick, DE from Virginia. Played 4 years, was OK, made 12 career starts, played 71 games as a backup. He was probably the best of the litter.

Of their 6 choices that year, only 3 played in the league, the rest were mediocre to poor.

But then, that's OK, because that is the last draft class that the Browns got to shove off over to the Ravens.
