He has Adrian Peterson's driving and cutback ability. He's only a little slower than Peterson, but still hauls ass for his "power rb" mold.

Im extremely excited to see him in orange and brown. Glad we got an offensive threat finally.

Who would be 2nd rb? Hardesty/ Jackson? Smith?

It's too bad that Hillis couldn't be reasonable and stay in Cleveland. We could have selected Trent to run behind Hillis and used Hillis as a FB/3rd down back and we could have been NASTY. I'm more than happy with having Richardson and let's all hope Smelley is a best FB for us... Oh, what might have been...

I agree that they have similar running styles and can both catch the football pretty well. However the big difference is that Hillis only has two ways to gain yardage: running over the defender or hurdling over the defender. And the hurdling doesn't really work anymore since teams expect it now. Richardson can certainly run over defenders as well, but he can also move laterally to make defenders miss. In my opinion, this elusiveness is what sets him apart. Plus we can only hope he is less injury prone than Hillis..

Also Richardson doesn't seem to fumble the ball. We'll see how he does in pros.

Richardson has superior speed as well. He has elusiveness and great vision! He's also smaller, height wise than Hillis which makes him able to hide behind the offensive line and that also gives him the advantage.

Is Richardson less likely to get strep throat too? haha Good riddance Hillis...

Also think of the fact that Owen Marecic will lay out some great blocks, with a year in under his belt he should know the right lanes to clear for Trent to burst through.

Maybe Marecic can open some holes by swing his mammoth 10 gallon jug head around the line. I have never seen someone look so stupid wearing a helmet.

If not then Stinky Smelley will be laying out the blocks, just like he did for him in college.

When looking at these TR highlights, we should also be looking at what Smelley does.

Yeah, I agree. #17 can be found frequently laying blocks and driving defenders away from Richardson in some of his highlight videos! I went back and looked for #17 and he kept popping up. I certainly hope that he can be Vickers with Vacuum hands!

you have to pay these little girls enough to take a punch. TR would stand up quite nicely once getting jabbed in the jaw from the world's most interesting man. our receiving corp neeeds to do a little self-urgent basic fucking training to come into cleveland and perform in december.

marecic did squat for us last year. why think he'll suddenly be any better?

maybe there's a new form of HGH going around that can suddenly make a fidget relevant in a league of monsters.

ask trent. looks like he might just have a hook-up.

I refuse to believe that any rookie should just be tossed aside after one below average season. This is one of the reasons why the Browns have been terrible the past decade. Giving up on players and coaches too early. Now If Smelley comes in and is out playing Marecic then cut his ass. Smelley gives us the option to cut both Alex Smith and Marecic freeing us up 1 more very important roster spot.

    Smelley - Height: 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) - Weight: 229 lb (104 kg)

    Marecic - Height: 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) - Weight: 248 lb (112 kg)

    ...May the best player prevail...
