Pro Football Reference.com has produced this statistic which is a single number that they can assign to any player to determine how productive they have been in a particular season. It is applied to skill players or non skill players indiscriminately. I would have to refer you to the website for an explanation of how they derive the stat. Suffice it to say, the higher the number, the better that players performance has been that season.

Here is the list of which Browns players scored the highest for each Browns season since 1950:

    1950 Tony Adamle 16

    1951 Bill Willis 21

    1952 Bill Willis 15

    1953 Bill Willis 18

    2008 Shaun Rogers 11

    2009 Joe Thomas 9

    2010 Joe Thomas 11

FYI, on this ranking done by PFR, the 26 that Jim Brown got in 1964 is the highest single season ranking I could find by a player. I found a few 25s like OJs 2000 year season, and Marshall Faulk and LaDanian Tomlinson each had a 25. The highest QB rank I could find was a 24 for Tom Brady's 2007 season. A few other career high production numbers:

Favre: 18. Aikman: 17. Otto Graham 18 (didn't include any AAFC years). Unitas: 19. Joe Greene 20. Campell 15. Barry Sanders 21. Walter Payton 20. Marino 21. P. Manning 21. Emmit Smith 20. Dickerson 19. Marcus Allen 18. John Elway 18.

I spent some time perusing HOF members stats and could find none better than Jim Brown's number.

No, not really. Refresh my memory. Though I do know that PFR does do an accumulated career tally of this point system they devised. I haven't figured out how to find a "best career" from this. Jim Brown's number may be the highest average yearly total, but accumulation wise, him playing only 9 years would put him behind good players who played a lot longer.
