  • I remember watching this live. It was the best part of the game. I imagine that Alex broke after the reception to get up field and block but then he had an opportunity and ran with it. I love Alex, he is a stand up guy and has been since he got here. It's very close between the two them, Joe Thomas and Alex Mack, on whom I like better. I hope to add Schwartz to this list very soon.

    Please God, let Schwartz be a diamond of a gem and a chip off Joe Thomas' shoulder...

    Maybe, but that was a fun play. And since it is just an exhibition one would hope more fun plays like that would occur.

    I think it has been agreed the game isn't going to be played much longer......like maybe starting next year.

    Just look at all the "all-star" games, hockey and basketball have scores way above the norm....no D is played, football, no tackling as is evidenced in the linked Vid...baseball is the only sport that can actually play the game hard and close to true to form. Dump them all but the baseball game. Baseball is the only one worth watching, and to give baseball credit, they have tried to give their game some meaning.

    If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

    So turn it into a full-out gimmick (flag football or skills competition) and get rid of the traditional 11 on 11.
