Week 6 Game Balls

Offensive line gets my game ball. Faced the best D line in the NFL and Weeden was not under much pressure. Batted balls were an issue but thats not entirely the lines fault. Otherwise, stellar effort.

Sheldon Brown and Emmanuel Stephens obviously, and Shurmur .. he really looked like he was going to cry when Brown intercepted that pass.

there are the guys/gals that just ok'd everything that happened with mccoy and the so-called qb competition. we get it. weeden has a great arm. is he as smart as mccoy (football wise numb nuts, not wonderlic), probably not. most, being fans that we are, have taken sides. so when the one sides' views become true on the field and actually pan out in a win, they can come in and smarmily shove shit in the other sides' face. and vice versa.
everyone knows how i feel and i could give a shit less whether who thinks my opinion is whack or whatever. in the end it comes down to me wanting the browns to win. i didn't like the weeden pick but he sure as hell has me shutting up about any arm dispute between the starter and the backup qb. does he fluster the shit out of me with stoooooopid decision making sometimes? when he stares down a receiver even when he has a 10 second pocket? god damn right he does. but if he plays as well as he did today, coupled with the fact that josh gordon IS THE REAL DEAL i'll concede to every dumb thing i've said about weedster from the getgo.
BUT i don't think that will ever stop TCPO from posting his "i know more about football posts" or zombo's "this week in the afcn" posts picking against all of our rivals in the division until they start playing each other, to which i think he just spins his dradle and how ever it goes in his ass (right, left, twisted or straight up) determins who wins. imagine if he played madden and had the chance to play the old school championship browns team against who we have now? i think his head would explode.
but enough of this shit. i didn't like the hire of shurmur, the pick of weeden or even TR @3. but today i was proven wrong. i don't think the blame can fall on shurmur for the season so far. he has the talent that was given him. it's up to each and everyone of the players and coaches to do their jobs, whether we are perennial losers or super bowl champs.
the play calling sucks but that is holmgren all the way.
i think if he were gone (holmgren) shurmur might loosen up a little and not have the shadow of jabba the hut blocking out the sun everytime he goes to look at the play sheet.
until then TCPO knows more about football than me. will he ever stop working at planet fitness? doubt it. he likes picking things up and putting things down. and zombo will just keep drinking the purple stuff and puffin them cohibas. that doesn't make either one of you guys bad in my book. just give some people some slack sometimes. some poeple actually come here to have a good time and have a laugh (sometimes at other people's expense).
if we had lost today, do you really think the word wouldn't have come down from above to put mccoy in next week? if you say no you are sadly mistaken.

I actually do have a membership to Planet Fitness, good call.
And I really don't believe McCoy would have gotten the starting nod had we lost today. Because outside of the Philly game, Weeden has posted solid stats.

Haden played a great game had a key interception and energized the whole defense, he seems to always be getting owned by big receivers for big plays though.
The kid is an elite talent no doubt, but he really needs to work on his footwork and balance.
Just off the top of my head I can recall at least three times where he has given up big plays where his mental motor was going faster than his balance could handle and he was tripped up and gave up big yards.
Last year vs. Shittsburgh in Shittsburgh against Antonio Brown,2nd game against the Bengals last season and the big play to Green yesterday were all times Haden lost his balance and tripped over himself and couldn't recover.
