Oh God.
Well, no one ever said O'Reilly didn't have an audience.
I love this board. I really do. The Republican ID perfectly distilled, all of its component parts represented. You've got the paranoid Tea Party mental patients who'll believe any conspiracy they're told to believe and think Democrats are out to destroy America (Cal, Mr. T, Bunker, etc.), the older white resentment faction (Steve, Diehard, etc), the normal, less ideological guys (Cysko, Leg, Kosar), and the intellectual/financial elite (Tupa).
We're really just missing the born again/megachurch variety to remind us that Jesus is the light and the way.

You're behind the times and take off the blinders- America is already destroyed, and yes the Republican party is almost equally to blame. We have a Washington bureaucracy answerable to no one. The snowball is already on it's way down the hill, it would just have taken it longer to hit bottom if Romney had won.
-
A great rule in politics is that usually when someone tells you "take your blinders off" they're the ones who are blind and have nothing to say.
Though it is funny how universally accepted is the premise that Democrats don't know we have a fiscal crisis on our hands and now that Obama is elected we're going to go right off the cliff, when, of course, this election was partly won because President Obama's ideas - which, yes, were vague and incomplete during the campaign - on how to address the problem were preferred over Mitt Romney's.
About 2/3rds of Americans prefer the Clinton-era tax rates to the Bush-era tax rates. That's what Obama campaigned on. Romney campaigned on lowering them way beyond the Bush tax cuts and then paying for all of this in fantasy land.
Obama won.
Let's not forget that Obama and Boehner were close to a deal on this stuff. They've just got to get a little closer.
So you guys can just shut up about how you're the only people who can do math and liberals are just gleefully driving the car over the cliff. If last night taught us anything it's that Republicans are in denial and can't do basic math.
Sorry, dude. You're a racist. And everyone dislikes you and thinks you're an idiot and a bedwetter.

Go complain to your ham radio.
For one you do not even know what the definition of racist is. I also see that there are over 10,000 people who are members of this board and it is arrogant cunts like you who have ran them off, some feel as if it isn't worth the time to discuss politics let alone sports with manipulative cunts like yourself, so why bother.
You are a waste of time and a waste of human flesh, so I wish you well and that you see the error of your ways so you will not be damned to hell.
Take an other look at the polls and you will see that your beloved magic negro barely won, so there is still a good bunch of people in this world who care about values.
The new normal in your eyes and perverted thinking is a road to destruction.

And they all think you are....
Anyway, O'Reilly is right, and that's pretty much what your own pundits have been preaching all day.
And basically they are right. There are fewer older white employed people then there were and the number ain't increasing.
So you have a coalition of people who don't like older white employed people.
All day long the suggestions have been to reach out to those group.
anywhere to the right of them and you won't get the vote.
And if you plan to get to the left of Obama?
How do you do that?
Food stamps for Morton's of Chicago?
Section 8 housing in Thousand Oaks?
Make Spanish the official language?
Completely open the borders?

This is really pathetic, Steve. It really is.
Keep talking that way, I guess. Keep not understanding the relevant issues. Keep framing everything as "white people work and minorities take from those who work." It's a doltish, simplistic, wrong-headed, and insulting way to frame a myriad of economic and fiscal issues. And it only helps Democrats win.
In all of the years i've know you, you've refused - flat-out refused - to learn anything new, or to express another opinion than the 5-6 you have, this being one of them.

All I've done is state whats clearly true.
I understand that it upsets you.
And since you know that all you can do is sputter fume and attack.
But you are correct.
It is most certainly why Democrats win.
It may be time to understand that the United States is past the tipping point.
It is a natural and expected symptoms of an aging society.
Aging, of course you understand, over the last couple centuries.
Keeping the brand alive is hardly relevant.

Why do you always do that? Aren't you a grown man?
You write something that's so devoid of anything interesting or meaningful. It's just recycled cant. It makes me miserable to read it. And then in the next post you tell me that it's so genius I can't stand it.
Why don't you accept that I think you're all sorts of wrong? Because I think you're all sorts of wrong. It's not "truth" by anyone's standard but your own.

Just about everyone I came into contact with today saw that O'Reilly clip and thought, "Wooowwwww. What an asshole."
But according to you, a flawless summation of the nation's ills.

Yeah, Obama won- I'm over it already. I certainly hope the "fiscal illiterate" (not my thinking, but it fits) buys a clue and figures out you can't spend your way to prosperity.
Obama= 1 trillion in make work jobs- got us nowhere. There's your math. Screwed over the bond holders of GM to suck up to UAW = Michigan win.
Know what? You have no idea where I'm coming from. If you'd care to explain (in any realistic manner) how any party is going to pay off the $50+k per capita national debt we've rung up without hyperinflation, be my guest. Getting rid of 75% of the bureaucracy would be a start- but I did say realistic.
Furthermore, I have NO, NONE, NADA objection to higher tax rates- (IMHO that was one of the primary reasons Romney lost)-Hmmm- class warfare 0bama very effectively used- tax cuts for those big bad rich people, nice suck up to the dumb asses that don't know any better. As I'm sure you're not in that boat- confiscating 100% of every dollar earned by "the rich" isn't going to put a dent in the deficit.
If you want to use those extra $$ to pay down the debt- instead of creating yet another bureaucracy- like Obamacare, count me on board. Too bad Washington has shown, if you have any available money- a way will be found to spend it. (PS as a Healthcare worker myself- go ask around with people involved in the profession, and see if they think it's a good idea.) My bet is 90% NOT!!!

You sound like a philandering husband trying to lie his way out of it and getting mad at his wife when she doesnt buy the lies.
Or more like a used car salesman pissed off when the mark walks.
You can take the coalition that Obama build made up of serious group of under performers.
blacks, Mexicans ( Cubans trend Republican) and other immigrants who have friends and or family who are illegal, single mothers and young people.
Regardless of your talking points these groups are least likely to be gainfully employed and most likely to want more and more government benefits.
But people like you need to pretend that its people like me who make their lives miserable.
It's only because you are un able to refute the simple fact you rail at me.
By the way your comrades at the party cell don't like Bill O'Reilly
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.

" We all have truths; are mine the same as yours"

By the way Hoorta, I'd have no problem with raising the top rate to 39 percent either
It won't bring up much income unless you close some loopholes but I think the Democrats know that.
It's just a bullet in the campaign class warfare Arsenal.
By the way I'd insist that pittance be put toward the national debt.
But there's not a chance in hell that would happen.

Well, we've reached another tiresome dead end. You can rant about this fever swamp crap all you like, and then congratulate yourself on how unassailable it is. I've wasted enough of my time.
Have a nice holiday season.

Mine as well pal.
Funny it always seems to end this way.
But remember an ugly when is still a win.
I accept the loss of the election just won't accept your silly spin or denial of the truth.
So I'm sorry you are angry and I'm sorry for ruining the world.
But if it makes you feel better I will email the Fisher House receipt to your G mail account.
And I promise to free all my slaves as soon as the hops are picked.

Just tell me what was ugly about the win.
Also, you think I'm angry? I'm not angry. I just want to get on with the celebrating. We just pasted you. Everything but Michele Bachmann went our way. I'm as happy as a clam.

The divisive us vs. them mentality is as ugly as ugly gets, heck. It is prevalent in both republicans and democrats. Think you vs Steve, or Cal vs Woody. Only true moderates like myself seem to be able to see things from both sides. Now is the time for acceptance and the hand of compromise and friendship in all matters. A very famous quote comes to mind. It's as true now as when it was spoken.
"We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature."

It gets a lot uglier than me pointing out that the Democrats won big, Cysko. It gets much uglier than that.
