  • yes im assuming after hes not claimed he'll sign with a team that is a super bowl contender for a much lower price. the guy is still effective, wish we could get him but taht kinda of money for a team thats playing for next year wont happen.

  • Had two great seasons in a row. I think he was one of the guys who were a victim of bad defensive coaching this year. One of those guys who has it come together for him later in his career. Worth picking IMO.

Exactly, their offensive line coach turned to d coordinator. "That team will also take on the three years and $16.65 million in non-guaranteed base salary"

  • Had 18 sacks in 2011, only 5.5 so far this year.

Ties to Heckert and Banner, should the Browns go after him or is he washed up?

Tired of getting the Eagles rejects.

  • The Dream Team. 😆

  • Pick him up, what we pay him this season doesn't matter since we have plenty of cap room. Then after the season ask him to restructure his contract. If he doesn't then let him loose. We don't lose anything.

I would love him for the right price. But i think he thinks he is better than he is and will want a lot of lap dances.

So if he gave you $100 per dance would that be an acceptable price? 😛

I agree hes worth the gamble he actually is a position which we desperatly need, and has been productive the past two seasons...

Per ESPN- quit on the team, bad attitude, doesn't give a s**t. Why Eagles cut him. Will only go to a contending team- take it to the bank.

  • I don't see any real benefit in bringing in a player at this point.

    Why??

Way more negatives attached then any positive.

Per ESPN hookea, the whole team quit on the Eagles.

  • New England would be the logical place for him.

Why wouldn't he quit here then? I heard on NFL AM that he had a bad attitude, bad work ethic, and wasn't a good role model for the younger guys. If the stories are true we don't need that on our team. Why would he be happier here than in Philly? I know we're on the bottom looking up and Philly is on the bottom looking down, but it's still the bottom.

  • Per league sources the Browns did put in a waiver for him but he was awarded to Jax.

I just heard that on the radio. Too bad

    I didn't realize Jacksonville was a contender.

Unless we're talking about contending for the first overall pick next year.

As I understand it, if someone is cut loose like that it is the team in the league with the worst record that gets first crack to make a waiver claim. So, apparently KC did not put in a claim, but at least Jax and Cleveland did. Since Jax has a worse record than the Browns they get to take him.

I understand how the waiver process works, I was being facetious in reply to hoorta's comment on where Babin would end up.

Per Mary Kay Cabot, the Browns did not put in a waiver claim.

    Mary Kay Cabot ‏@MaryKayCabot:

#browns did not put in a claim on Jason babin, league sources said.

  • Picking up Babin would have made no sense for us.

Forgot when a player gets waived, it's worst team gets first shot at the player. Different than FA. 😕

  • Well how about mcclain then from raiders?
