OK, instead of focusing on another team, this trivia is essentially totally about the Browns. Here you go:

    1. The Browns were founded in 1946. In what year did they have only their second losing season?

    2. Here are some numbers: 0,0,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,3,3,4. They represent the number of losing seasons that various Browns head coaches have had. Match the coach with the number of losing seasons (coaches listed here alphabetically):

    Belichick

    Brown

    Carson

    Collier

    Crennell

    Davis

    Gregg

    Mangini

    Palmer

    Rutigliano

    Schottenheimer

    Shurmur

    Skorich

    3. Not including AAFC years, the Browns have only led the NFL in most offensive yards one time. Which year was that?

    4. Not including AAFC years, how many times have the Browns led the NFL in fewest points allowed?

    5. Which Browns QB started the most games in his career (with the Browns)?

    6. Of all the Browns QBs in history who threw 100 or more passes, which one had the highest completion pct.?

    7. Of all the Browns QBs in history who threw 100 or more passes, which one had the highest TD pct.?

    8. Which Browns player had the longest run from scrimmage in history?

    9. Jim Brown has the highest yards per game avg. in Browns history (NFL history for that matter). Who is second in ypg avg. (for the Browns)?

    10. Which active Browns player has caught the most TD passes in his career with the Browns?

    11. Name the AFC teams that the Browns have never met in the playoffs.

    12. The Browns in their history have faced in the postseason two different franchises that went by the exact same name. What are these 2 franchises?

    13. Name those players that were drafted by the Browns in 2009 or earlier that are still with the team.

    14. Besides the Browns, what is the only other current NFL franchise that at some point completely suspended operations for a season before being reactivated?

    15. What is the only year in which two former Browns players were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. (actually the year is not essential...but tell the name of the two Browns players that went in together)

No, you are 100% right. The two franchises are the AAFC Buffalo Bills and the NFL(AFL) Buffalo Bills.

Adding the Colts was superfluous really. (though there WAS an AAFC Baltimore Colts and an NFL Baltimore Colts, the Browns never played the AAFC Baltimore Colts in the postseason)

    Answers:

    1. The Browns were founded in 1946. In what year did they have only their second losing season?

1974 was correct. The Browns went their first 28 years of existance with only 1 losing season...they were 5-7 in 1956, plus were 7-7 in 1970.

    2. Here are some numbers: 0,0,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,3,3,4. They represent the number of losing seasons that various Browns head coaches have had. Match the coach with the number of losing seasons (coaches listed here alphabetically):

    Belichick..4

    Brown...1

    Carson...1

    Collier...0

    Crennell...3

    Davis...3

    Gregg...2

    Mangini...2

    Palmer...2

    Rutigliano...3

    Schottenheimer...3

    Shurmur...2

    Skorich...1

I put Shurmur at 2 even though I know theoretically he could avoid a losing season of the Browns were to win out. But, honestly, what is the chance of that?

    3. Not including AAFC years, the Browns have only led the NFL in most offensive yards one time. Which year was that?

    1952

    4. Not including AAFC years, how many times have the Browns led the NFL in fewest points allowed?

Seven times...7. All of you guessed so few. As great as Otto Graham et al on offense the 40s/50 dynasty was predicated on defense. They led the league in allowing the fewest points 6 times between 1950 and 1958. I don't know if any defense in history was so dominant, not even the Steeler curtain. The other time was 1994 under BB.

In addition, the Browns led the AAFC in allowing the fewest points all 4 years. So that is a total of 11.

    5. Which Browns QB started the most games in his career (with the Browns)?

It was Otto Graham with 126 starts....but Brian Sipe had 125. Kosar was third with 108. If Sipe had stayed another year and not jumped to the USFL he would have been the Browns all time leader.

As it was, he is the all time leader in yards...with just a few ahead of OG. Sipe had 23,713, OG had 23,584. BK had 21,904.

    6. Of all the Browns QBs in history who threw 100 or more passes, which one had the highest completion pct.?

It was Kelly Holmcomb...believe it or not... with a 63.7 completion pct.

Note: Graham had a 55.8%, Sipe had 56.5%. Weeden is at 57% (and we complain about that)

    7. Of all the Browns QBs in history who threw 100 or more passes, which one had the highest TD pct.?

Frank Ryan is correct with 7.6

compare: Sipe at 4.5%, Graham at 6.6%, Kosar at 3.7%, Weeden at 3.0%. McCoy at 2.9%.

    different game I guess

    8. Which Browns player had the longest run from scrimmage in history?

Bobby Mitchell had a 90 yard run. Longest in Browns history.

    9. Jim Brown has the highest yards per game avg. in Browns history (NFL history for that matter). Who is second in ypg avg. (for the Browns)?

Jamal Lewis is second at 70.2 per game.

HOWEVER....I expect Trent Richardson to surpass Lewis, even as soon as Sunday. He is third at 68.9 ypg, and with 100 yards will surpass Lewis.

By the way....4th on the list is Peyton Hillis at 67.8 ypg

Also note, the highest yards per carry average in Browns history belongs to Reggie Hodges. Now, he only has 2 career carries, but he is averaging 34.0 yards per carry.

    10. Which active Browns player has caught the most TD passes in his career with the Browns?

The active player with the most TD passes with the Browns is Ben Watson with a total of 8 TD passes. Pretty slim. Next are MoMass and Cribbs with 7 each, Josh Gordon now follows with 5, and Little has 4.

The team record is 70 by Gary Collins.

Perhaps Gordon will surpass Collins some day? Or maybe both Gordon and Little. Wouldn't that be special?

    11. Name the AFC teams that the Browns have never met in the playoffs.

Ravens, Bengals, Jags, Texans, Chiefs, Chargers.

And just for shits and giggles, of the NFC teams the Browns have never played the Seahawks/Cardinals/Saints/Falcons/Bucs/Panthers/Redskins/Eagles or Bears in postseason...

but have played the 49ers/Rams/Lions/Giants/Packers/Cowboys and Vikings.

    12. The Browns in their history have faced in the postseason two different franchises that went by the exact same name. What are these 2 franchises?

They are the Buffalo Bills of the AAFC and the Buffalo Bills of the NFL (AFL/AFC). Two completely different franchises.

    13. Name those players that were drafted by the Browns in 2009 or earlier that are still with the team.

There are just the 6: DQ Jackson '06, Joe Thomas '07, Aytahba Rubin '08, Maiava/Massaquoi/Mack '09

(the old man, Phil Dawson was not a Browns draftee)

    14. Besides the Browns, what is the only other current NFL franchise that at some point completely suspended operations for a season before being reactivated?

The Rams....then the Cleveland Rams. Completely suspended operations in 1943 during WWII, but reactivated in 1944...and won the NFL title in 1945. Whooosh.

As noted, the Steeler were never suspended, just merged with Cards then Eagles.

    15. What is the only year in which two former Browns players were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. (actually the year is not essential...but tell the name of the two Browns players that went in together)

The year was 1983. The two players that marched in together were Paul Warfield and Bobby Mitchell.

(yes, in no other year were 2 former Browns put in together)

Buffalo Bills is right too, I know that for sure ... so half right on that one.

    Zombo

No, you are 100% right. The two franchises are the AAFC Buffalo Bills and the NFL(AFL) Buffalo Bills.

Adding the Colts was superfluous really. (though there WAS an AAFC Baltimore Colts and an NFL Baltimore Colts, the Browns never played the AAFC Baltimore Colts in the postseason)

Actually, I did not give Z credit any more than I gave it to you....I just actually answered that question because it seemed like there was confusion.

They question was "which 2 franchises with the exact same name" have the Browns played in postseason.....ergo....the two teams you named should be two with the very same name...The Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Bills.

Sorry, next time I will kiss up to you Rich and let Zombo get jealous 😉
