This year's inductees are Rush, Public Enemy, Heart, Randy Newman, Donna Summer and Albert King.

It's about time.

Fair enough....but again it is always a question of why pick one over the other.
I personally would have preferred the likes of Deep Purple/Procul Harum/Paul Butterfield Blues over some of these.....but then the RRHOF is diverse, so they wanted to show their diversity I guess

Deep Purple is the next to go out of your list.

Until the "voice", Paul Rodgers finds his way in, the RR HOF is a semi joke.
I say semi because they did consider Johnny Cash as a HOF rocker.
Most don't, but Johnny was there with Elvis at a time Rock was undefined. Heck, early on Johnny was more rock and Elvis more country/gospel, then they found their groove that took them not only to their place, but a place held by few....legendary/icon status.
If everybody had like minds, we would never learn. -
you are dated ballpeen, youngsters like me never heard of Johnny Cash, did he do HARD rock??????????

Paul Rodgers? He'll get in with bad company eventually, but he's relatively unexceptional in my opinion.
