  • Oh well, win some lose some. Hopefully Banner and Haslam saw something besides his non committal attitude that really made them turn and walk away.

I really like the ChudZ hire. Dude eats canned orange dog food and chits brown dog biscuits...Brown all the way.

Really impressed with the Bears getting Trestman, hopefully he turns out to be a good addition over there, and does 10x better than Kelly.

  • Anyway I didn't want Kelly and I hate the Eagles.

Not nearly as badly as the Steelers or the Cowboys but...

But it's 1 more reason to root for them to fail!

It's gonna suck if they go to the Superbowl...

    WSS

  • Doesn't matter if Kelly turns out to be successful or not. He wasn't a good fit for the Browns for whatever reason. If he turns out to be successful with the Eagles, it doesn't mean he would have done the same in Cleveland. I did not like how he appeared to handle the interview process or the time it took for him to make his final decision. For that reason, I like the choice Haslam made to go in a different direction.

  • maybe his main decision was the qb's that each roster had.

while vick is not what he use to be he is still fast, and has a great arm.

seeing that phillys oline is shit, with his style of offense an o line may not be as big of a priority.

while some on here hate the guy for his style of offense and the ducks uniforms, I being a college football fan enjoyed watching them run that ultra fastpaced aggressive scheme.

Word is that the longer Jimmy Haslam spent in the presence of Kelly, the less comfortable he became. The guy was apparently just squirrelly. So JH pulled any further discussions off the table.

  • still don't see any facts stating it was haslam that pulled any deal off the table for kelly. as a matter of fact i think it was quite the opposite.

remember there were multiple teams vying for this guy to be their next HC. we plain and simple didn't have enough lustre for the guy even to think about the cleveland job. i really do think he wanted to go back to oregon until the downwind smell of sanctions came his way...then the only offer left was the eagles.

fuck chocolate chip fuckin kelly. looks like holgren's illegitimate love child.

  • While watching the Oregon-Kansas St. bowl game, the one thing that immediately jumped out at me

was how much quicker Oregon was than K-State. Chip won't have that luxury in the NFL. The comparison

    to Spurrier is very apt.

Also--PG, I realize you have unhealthy manlove for Trent but, c'mon--better than AP? Seriously?!?

  • I think the way things happened will work out best for both teams and coaches. I think Chud will work out for us and i think Chip will work out for philly. Looking back, im really happy we didnt get Chip.

And to piggyback on what ace said above, PG i get that you have this crazy unwavering optimism and love for the Browns and a few of our players, BUT C'MON MAN!!! "AP isn't that much better than Trent is right now" and "Trent will be the superior RB next year, mark my words".....WTF!?!? Adrian Peterson is better than TR by LEAPS AND BOUNDS!! Over 2000 yards rushing not even a year after he blew out his knee, AND on top of that, teams knew what was coming!! Teams knew that Minnesota didn't have a very good passing attack. Stop AP and you probably win the game.....most teams couldn't come close to stopping him. 100% manfreak. Share some of that good shit ur smokin there homie lmao

i don't know why or how but i betch some of those sanctions that WILL get thrown at oregon is the fact that they had other univeristie's track stars playing for them. (kiddin.)

just saying if you can get fired from your job, your ex-employers backlisted for 3 years and in the public's eys turn out to be a nerd criminal.....cuz a couple of kids sold some of THEIRshit to get tattooss......????

just think what oregon is gonna face finding out that kelly had a cousin in the central nervous system of dunkin donuts direct delivery service?

betcha he likes those maple covered, jelly-filled 2 hour in the bag last donut. oink piggy piggy oink (not ark or chip but holmgren. that dude has to be livin large...pun intended).

No, if you recall the Browns met with Kelly for like 7 hours on a Saturday...then he met with the Eagles....then Monday morning the Browns announced that they were continuing their search for a HC...without Kelly as a candidate.

While Kelly may not have decided to come to Cleveland in his own mind...I don't think he ever told anyone. He may have wanted to continue to use Cleveland as leverage to get more money perhaps from Oregon or the Eagles or whatever,....and when Haslam got wind of that he said "Fuck him" and withdrew any consideration of him as our HC.
