Uniforms to be unveiled April 25th. I kind of like their new take on the logo while still paying homage to the past. I wouldn't hate having the browns follow suit

1966-96: Studly Dolphin wearing a helmet ... three super bowls and playoffs practically every year.
1997-2012: Cartoon Dolphin wearing helmet trying to look all bad ass ... bad team.
2013: Artistic Dolphin without eyes or any football reference splashing about like he's in a tampon commercial ... may never win again.

No matter the gender appearance I think that new logo just looks bad. It's 21st century but I really just don't think the dolphin looks good on there. I do hope the Browns do a minor update like this soon.

The Brownie Elf is a holdover from the 50's, Jim Brown had it on his uniform. The elf is holding a football. Football. Not swimming through the seas like a gay dolphin in a tampon commercial.
It's OK for your logo not to be "tough": the Brownie elf, the Cubs, the Orioles ... none of the bird logos are particularily scary, just because you put a mean face on a bird, it's still a bird. But it's OK, because its symbolic.
THIS ... is gay:
I seriously would expect to see that on a box of tampons.
This was not designed by a heterosexual or a football fan.
It screams "vagina".

Logo designs are becoming more minimalist. The Dolphins were on the right track, but didnt quite nail it.
The Brownie elf can look cool, it has potential. But it's a holdover from a different era of design and it just doesn't hold up well today.
