Paul Brown basically hornswoggled the Packers with that trade whre they sent Garrett to Green Bay for Babe Parilli and others. The Packers didn't know about his stuttering when they made the trade? That couldn't happen today.

I am not sure why the Browns didn't keep Parilli, but he played here one year then went back to the Packers. Perhaps the Packers called PB on the trade and either PB agreed or the league forced PB to give Parilli back to the Pack after it was learned that PB failed to disclose information on Garrett that he should have.

Babe Parilli was a pretty decent QB. He went on to be the starter for the new AFL Boston Patriots for 7 years. While the Browns may have done better with the likes of Milt Plum and Frank Ryan, still, giving back Parilli unless they had to didn't seem like a good move.

Ben went to tiny Defiance, one of those Ohio schools you mention. He also was the brother of legendary Civil Rights Activist Angela Davis.

He blew out his knee in 69 and missed a season and a half, before that the Browns had quite a cornerback combo with him and veteran Erich Barnes.

Ben was a good kick returner too.
