Both hits were uncalled for. Only one was against my team what happens to your qb is your problem.
-
I thought the hit on Manuel was also uncalled for. And both our teams will end up hurt this year because of it.
-
Yeah he was hit helmet to helmet. Are you blind?
-
if anything TOUCHED hoyer's head, it might have been alonso's shoulder pads.

There's never a good reason to crush the qb in today's league. Period.

your first 10 points were handed to you. cmon, the trick play with your WR throwing a prayer into the endzone and being rewarded at the 1 yardline. then you got set up next drive in field goal range and lost 2 yards and got the 3. lets not forget the 3rd and 6 phantom pass interference in the endzone to set you up at the 1 again. and we had to play the whole game with our backup. our backup is just better than yours
. nontheless great game, bills are going to be a consistently good team over the next decade just like i think our browns will be. -
Is this a girl fight? It was a good game, Browns are the better team.

Seemed like Alonso launched himself just before Hoyer tried to slide.

please explain how it was a cheapshot and should have been a flag. he didn't hit him helmet to helmet, he didnt hit him after he started sliding...

are defenders not allowed to launch themselves at offensive players that aren't defenseless?
-
However you want to try and defend it it was out of line. So was gipson. Enjoy the next eight weeks of tuell because some dude had to crush your qb.
Early man walked away as modern man took control. Their minds weren't all the same and to conquer was their goal. So He built his great empires and he slaughtered his own kind, and he died a confused man and killed himself in his own mind... -

That's the point I was trying to make. I'm usually all for protecting the QB. However, when a QB is being chased down, he needs to know when to slide or slip out of bounds. Just ask RG3 or Vivk.

so you're saying it wasn't a cheapshot. okay.
*and it was 4 super bowls in a row
i'd settle just for going to the playoffs for the first time in 13 years

When looking at the other angle Alonso clearly went out of his way to lead with his helmet. I will not be surprised if he get fined.

As long as its on the up and up for the most part I will never have a problem with the Browns taking out another teams QB.
At least the Browns aren't the Pittsburgh Pirates!
You know the Pirates have won 2 World Series since the last time the Browns have won anything.
"You see the Rams are still thinking that they are playing Tony Dorsett" -Jim Brown 1978 -
ln defense of Alonso, when Hoyer decided to slide Alonso had already locked in on the trajectory of his tackle which wasn't head level. .
If Hoyer hadn't tucked his left leg he would still be playing. It was far from a text book slide.
Norv needs to answer to Chud why his QB's don't know how to slide. Overlooking fundamentals can cost you a whole fucking season. One needs to look no further than Norv to point the finger.

True. Nonetheless, they had 21 straight losing seasons.
