It's been a lingering issue that I'm working on fixing.

TC, in all honesty- that might be the most crack headed move anyone has ever suggested.

Fast quarterbacks are a new must it seems though. Evading pressure is just too clutch. TP is killing it for the raiders right now

Three weeks ago, suggesting that we were going to trade Richardson to the Colts would have been considered a crack headed move too.

I honestly don't believe Chud wants a Cam-like player. I think he'd love to have a pure-passer who excels in the pocket, not everywhere else instead.

OK, ever hear a qb drafted in the first round get traded before his first season was over? Moot point anyway now that Freeman is headed to the Vikings.

Brett Favre was the 33rd pick so one pick outside first round, traded midway through his first season.

    Does the Rivers/Manning trade count?

Our old 3rd/4th stringer Thadeus Lewis is getting the start this week for Buffalo. They elevated him from the practice squad and have leapfrogged him over Jeff Teul to start the game.

Maybe we could trade them Jason Campbell for a first round pick? 😛

OK. But I did a little research, and Farve was traded after the 1991 season, February 10, 1992 to be exact, Mr Smartypants. 🙂

No, because Manning didn't want to play for SD and weaseled a trade. And we're talking about an in-season trade. Now that I think about it, John Elway pulled the same stunt.

Well, I was originally referring to acquiring Manuel in the offseason, so the point is still valid.

If we didn't go after Freeman, we're not trading for a QB during the season.

Although the Texans play by play man got his Twitter hacked and rumors quickly spread of a Schaub-Gordon straight up trade the other night.

If Manuel plays well after the injury, no way the Bills will trade him- and if he doesn't no way the Browns would want him. 🙂 I'll put it in another thread- but I think we already have our 3rd string qb on the roster, Marquis Gray.

So we take Mingo, which allows them to take Manuel. So then we cut Thad so we can sign Hoyer. They injure Hoyer, we injure Manuel, Thad now starts for them.

    Got it.

  • The Bills are reportedly pursuing Josh Freeman rather intently. So, assuming they are successful in acquiring him, does that make Manuel expendable?

It would be unheralded, but could you see us trading for Manuel? As I'm sure we all remember, Chud was extremely high on Manuel in the draft, claiming he reminded him of Newton.

Of course, there is roughly a .047% chance of this occurring.

Every season he's had in the NFL has been better than any season a Browns QB has had since 99, minus Anderson's 2007.
