First let me state, just how awesome it is to finally not get the referee's scorn aimed our way. Second, I would like to state how awful NFL refereeing is in regards to bias. It was clear, the refs got the memo that the Lions are the "better team" and will get the benefit of the whistles, it sucks they do this. As a Lions fan who has seen "the process" take away a Calvin Johnson game winning TD and then later in the year see the exact same play called differently, we understand the NFL's MO, and it sucks. As a Lions fan who has seen the refs i na typical game against GB, call holding or a phantom chop block on our first 3 drives, BUT ONLY AFTER WE CROSS THE 50 seemingly to assure GB the first score, we understand what bias is.

Yesterday was a clear "we are going to make Cleveland earn everything" before we let them sport a winning record. It won't get better this year, sadly. Believe me, on Detroit's first TD drive, we took no joy out of the horrible PI call on Joe Haden, setting up our first TD. That was a FG drive, that is what we earned. The personal foul on the alleged roughing of Matt Stafford on a crucial 3rd down in the 2nd half, was likewise, pure NFL stupidity. I had no doubt Greg Little's sideline catch was going to be called incomplete and put the burden of proof on the Browns to prove it was a catch as opposed to having the burden on the Lions to prove it wasn't a catch. That is how the NFL rolls, and it needs to stop. Call a straight game.

But yeah, Detroit is further along in the teams development, but I thought trading Richardson was genius, he clearly was not electric, so things are definitely looking up for Cleveland in the next few years. Haden, TJ Ward, Josh Gordon, Joe Thomas (who was excellent yesterday) are all the real deal. Get a QB, get some calls to go your way, and things will be turning around.

Enjoy the 4 TD victory we put up against Cincy next week gang.

You guys had some issues stopping the vaunted Browns backfield of Chris Obgannaya and Willis can someone call me please McGahee. Cincy ain't gonna be a walk for you guys. Weeden makes Dalton look like Brady and Manning test tube love child. I'm glad though that NFL fans are starting to get upset about these utterly ridiculous roughing the passer calls whether they go for you or against you. This is getting absurd. Fuck if Weeden had gotten hit like that yesterday the whole stadium would have screamed at the Lions Defense to hike up their skirts and show us how a grown ass man hits a qb. The hit Groves put on Stafford was textbook. That's how you want guys to hit to keep everyone healthy. It gets the job done and people get up to play another down. Raiola was a complete nancy faggot taint lick for hopping around looking like he wanted to start a fight with Groves.

Johnson gets healthy and they pick up a power back to compliment Bush, Detroit will be sniffing at the NFC championship. I say sniff cause Seattle is in the NFC. That team is ridiculous.

The micromanaging of the normal jostling between WRs and CBs is dumb. Haden played it pretty good.

Don't worry about CIncy, Detroit @home after two slow field games on grass against 2 other good defenses on the road, will be prime for the breakout. I am well aware of Cincy's team, but Dalton will not have a good game at Ford Field. It is usually big armed guys like Weeden who can give us trouble, Hoyer would not have made those plays Weeden did in the 1st half, Dalton will not make those kinds of plays we are vulnerable to either. The speed at which the Lions play at home is a stark contrast to the average speed they display outdoors on grass.

Joique Bell is a great compliment to Bush, he had a minor injury so didn't play much, but he did convert his 3rd down runs. There were some intangible things that happened in the Cleveland game that only Lions fans would notice, that lead me to believe the corner has turned, and Cincy is going to run into a buzz saw next.

You have a QB we don't.

Beat down the rest of the division for us.

Lake Erie teams been waiting since '64 ... gotta pull for each other when we can.

I heard Detroit's emergency manager was going to sell the Lions... 🙂

Megatron at 80% is better than many other 100% NFL receivers. Stafford's TD passes to Fauria were aces. Stafford had plenty of time to throw leaving Browns secondary in a bind. He's is tough to beat with that protection.
