that was painful

even though it was a close game, I really don't know how or why....that was one of the more painful games I've had to watch yet. We were completely dominated. By the end of the 1st half time of possession was like 22m for the chiefs to 5 and change for the browns. Unreal. Despite all that we got it back to 3 points. I obviously wasn't happy about that muffed punt from Bess..but it happens, he was trying to make something happen on a short ass punt so I wasn't furious. The drop at the end though I just don't know what to say. It's not like he was heading over the middle and was trying to catch the ball while getting an eyeball on Derrick Johnson..he was coming back to the ball and was sliding. The ball was in his fucking gut...right in the fucking basket. 4th and 7 and we had the 1st down. How the fucking fuck does that ball come out? HOw? There had better not be a FUCKING OUNCE of truth to the story of the FO shopping Cameron cause that dude makes the catch at full spring turned around and falling backwards onto his fucking ass. That guy you "dare" to put on the trading block? Gordon I understand with all his problems...but not even him now cause Bess has to be cut immediately. Fuck if they trade Cameron i might have to hang it up for the season and just hit the gym on Sundays....but even there I won't be able to completely get away from Browns football. This is just fucking ugly.
And oh hey Paul Kruger finally got home again after 7 games......YAY!!

It MUST be stated that on 4th and 7 with not only the GAME on the line, but the ENTIRE SEASON on the line - meaning if we drop to 3-5 we aren't likely to make the playoffs but if we improve the 4-4 with two winnable division games coming up we have a legitimate shot - Jason Campbell fucking WILLED us to a first down under heavy pressure and throwing across his body/the field which is USUALLY a big no-no, but Çampbell defied the odds and MADE that play happen. Never mind Bess did not come through with his end. Fuck that - what Campbell did is the sign of a WINNER - coming up BIG when it matters MOST. I was impressed with his play today, but SUPER IMPRESSED with that play.

yeah i have to agree, but it is "one" game. We need to evaluate him over a couple games. But for sure if that was weeden behind center today KC would have had a bunch of sacks. The OL didn't do horribly though at what was just a rush hour KC defense. Man they brought it. Campbell stayed cool and got himself out of trouble. If this keeps up for a few games one really wonders why Weeden was started at all this season.

who didn't really have alot of up to date tape to work off of. QB's tempo's change over time, so do their drops and strides. All that gets mapped during the week in practice. Guys get taught when to throw the hands up. The league last year figured weeden out like that after a couple games when he started to get everything batted back into his face.
