  • I am foregoing the usual "Browns opponent's' trivia, as our next opponent is the Ravens. They have too short a history and no one wants to know anything about their sorry asses. So I am giving some more general stuff here. See how you do:

    1. Excluding members of the AAFC Cleveland Browns who may have moved into the NFL, in NFL history, only 3 players have ever been a member of 6 Championship teams. Can you name these 3 players? (hint: besides those Browns, can you think of any other team that won a lot of titles?)

    2. Which 2 players that played for the Browns made either the First or Second All Decade Team of the 2000s as put out by the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

    3. What team has lost the most postseason games in history?

    4. There have been 43 QBs to start a game thus far in the 2013 season. Name all of those who are undefeated in their starts.

    5. Besides the Browns, what other NFL team has started 3 QBs this year?

    6. There are or have been 67 Quarterbacks on the 53 man roster of NFL teams this year that are credited at some point in their careers as having started an NFL game. Five of them have a career winning pct. of .700 or better. Simply name those 5 QBs.

    7. Thirty three (33) QBs in history have thrown for 200 career TD passes (including 6 active). There are 4 more likely to join that club before the 2013 season is complete. (a couple could do it as early as this week). Name those 4 QBs likely to join the 200 TD club.

    8. Between the AAFC and the NFL Otto Graham won 104 games as a starting QB, in regular season games. Twelve (12) other QBs have won 100 or more games as a starting QB. Simply name all 12!

(hint: all have been post 1950 QBs)

    9. Eight (8) Running backs have scored 100 or more TDs rushing. Simply name all 8!

    10. Only 4 QBs in NFL history have started a postseason game for 3 different teams. Name these 4 QBs. (hint: all post 1970)

Bonus: There IS in fact ONE QB who was the starting QB for two different teams/franchises that won a championship game. Name this QB.

(hint: it was not Len Dawson who won titles with the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs. Those in fact are the same franchise)

Charles Haley, Jim Ringo, Bart Starr

No. Haley got 5 SBs ring...but not 6. Ringo and Starr got the 5 with the Pack....but they are not the ones to get another with somebody else. But that is the right neighborhood

Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Big Ben, Flacco, Rodgers, Kaepernick

Only Brady and Kaepernick are correct.....but with Kaep, you got the last one.

    7. Thirty three (33) QBs in history have thrown for 200 career TD passes (including 6 active). There are 4 more likely to join that club before the 2013 season is complete. (a couple could do it as early as this week). Name those 4 QBs likely to join the 200 TD club.

    Flacco, P Rivers, Cutler, Romo

Only Romo correct....but with him he is the last answer to be gotten

Tom Brady, Staubach, Bradshaw, Montana, Peyton Manning, Ken Stabler, Theissman, Roman Gabriel, Ken Anderson, Jim Kelly, Phil Simms, Dan Marino

The ones in Red are incorrect. You did get Kelly who was not named previously

    9. Eight (8) Running backs have scored 100 or more TDs rushing. Simply name all 8!

Jim Brown, Emmitt Smith, Roger Craig, Tony Dorsett, Franco Harris, Earl Campbell, Walter Payton, Jim Taylor

The ones in Red are incorrect. There are still two unnamed.

    10. Only 4 QBs in NFL history have started a postseason game for 3 different teams. Name these 4 QBs. (hint: all post 1970)

(hint: it was not Len Dawson who won titles with the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs. Those in fact are the same franchise)

    George Blanda

NO. Blanda won ONLY as a member of the Oilers.

  • Interim report. Let's narrow this down a bit. Here are the unanswered questions:

    1. Which 3 non AAFC Browns played for 6 Championship teams. We have narrowed this down to being guys who played with the 60s Packers, but who got another title elsewhere. (and not Ringo/Starr)

    3. Which team has lost the most postseason games? (and we know it is not Bears/Redskins)

    8. Which other 5 QBs (besides P. Manning/Marino/Brady/Montana/Bradshaw/Brees/Kelly/Graham) have won 100 games or more as a starting NFL QB?

    9. Which other 2 RBs (besides E.Smith/Tomlinson/Allen/Payton/JB/Riggins) have scored 100 or more career TDs?

    10. What 4 QBs have started a postseason game for 3 different teams. None have been named yet

Bonus: Who is the only QB in history to start and win a championship game for 2 different franchises?

  • Interim report. Let's narrow this down a bit. Here are the unanswered questions:

Between the Giants and Cowboys and i'm going GIANTS

    8. Which other 5 QBs (besides P. Manning/Marino/Brady/Montana/Bradshaw/Brees/Kelly/Graham) have won 100 games or more as a starting NFL QB?

Elway, Unitas, Tarkenton, Favre & Aikman

    9. Which other 2 RBs (besides E.Smith/Tomlinson/Allen/Payton/JB/Riggins) have scored 100 or more career TDs?

    Barber

    10. What 4 QBs have started a postseason game for 3 different teams. None have been named yet

    Deberg, Gannon, Collins & Garcia

Bonus: Who is the only QB in history to start and win a championship game for 2 different franchises?

  • 1. Excluding members of the AAFC Cleveland Browns who may have moved into the NFL, in NFL history, only 3 players have ever been a member of 6 Championship teams. Can you name these 3 players? (hint: besides those Browns, can you think of any other team that won a lot of titles?)

Wow.... Between his AFL (Oilers) and NFL days George Blanda (Raiders) has to be one.

    NO

Must be a 60's Packer that caught a 6th with another team...

But your thought process here is right on. Need the names.

Can't believe Blanda was a no...but OK... new day refreshed brain...

One Packer has to be Herb Adderley... I know he finished career with Dallas during their first ascention.

    8. Between the AAFC and the NFL Otto Graham won 104 games as a starting QB, in regular season games. Twelve (12) other QBs have won 100 or more games as a starting QB. Simply name all 12!

(hint: all have been post 1950 QBs)

LOL.... P. Manning, Staubach, Marino, Brady, Brees, Bradshaw, Montana,

All correct except Staubach...plus there are 6 others

    Neither is correct.

Elway, Unitas, Tarkenton, Favre & Aikman

First 4 right. Not Aikman. Only one left

    Nope

Check on Collins and Garcia, not the other 2

Adderly is a big check....and FYI, one of the others also got his #6 with the Cowboys.

    Warren Moon

    That is a Check

  • Second interim report:

    1. Who are the two Packers, besides Herb Adderly that got a 6th championship ring along the line somewhere for another team?

    3. What team has lost the most postseason games? (It is not the Bears/Giants/Redskins/Cowboys...and another hint: it is not the Browns)

    9. Two more RBs that scored 100 TDs rushing.

    10. Besides Jeff Garcia and Kerry Collins, the 2 other QBs who started playoff games for 3 teams.

Bonus: the only QB to be the starting QB for 2 different championship teams. (Hint: 1 was an NFL team, one was an AFL team)

  • On the bonus...

Did the QB start the championship games or just a game during the Champ seasons?

Pretty sure Earl Morrall fills the bill in the latter case... but the Fins' season was post merger...

    1. Who are the two Packers, besides Herb Adderly that got a 6th championship ring along the line somewhere for another team?

Hmmm ... Marv Fleming could be one. Henry Jordan?

    3. What team has lost the most postseason games? (It is not the Bears/Giants/Redskins/Cowboys...and another hint: it is not the Browns)

That's a good question. You can only lose one playoff game per year, so it is a team that makes the playoffs all the time, and then back out any super bowl championships.

I'll go with Dolphins. They used to make the playoffs a lot but only went all the way twice.

    9. Two more RBs that scored 100 TDs rushing.

    besides E.Smith/Tomlinson/Allen/Payton/JB/Riggins)

I haven't scrolled back to see the misses ... but I'll try Barry Sanders and Thurmon Thomas.

    10. Besides Jeff Garcia and Kerry Collins, the 2 other QBs who started playoff games for 3 teams.

Not sure ... I'll throw out McMahaon and Testeverde, I know they started for at least two.

Bonus: the only QB to be the starting QB for 2 different championship teams. (Hint: 1 was an NFL team, one was an AFL team)

It was bugging me so I figured it out using Google. Thought it was a trick question at first (Lenny dawson with Dallas Texans and KC Chiefs) ... but now I know who it is.

Yea, the person started both title games. Morrall is a good guess.
