  • A lot of football left to play. As long as Weeden doesn't play, we could realistically win out. We already beat Cincy, so we can do it again, Pittsburgh?... those games should be fun this year, but I'll NEVER consider those games as wins until the clock says 0:00 and we're up. Jacksonville... we better win. New England is not a rock-solid team especially their D, and if we can put pressure on Brady we can win. Chicago hasn't been great, but they'll be tougher when we face them b/c of Cutler being back. New York is an away game, which isn't good, but I think our D can cause fits for Geno.

Really I wouldn't be shocked if we win 5 and finish 9-7, and I wouldn't be shocked if we win 2 and finish 6-10... Hard to tell right now, but this game was a major momentum booster, and hopefully they come out swinging against Cincy after the bye week b/c that game will be HUGE...

  • After the bye, we play the Bengals, right? If we get to 5-5 and the Bengals (off injuries) are 6-5, things get really interesting.

  • Cincinnati- We beat them once, we can beat them again. It wasn't even Hoyer that won us that game, it was the defense completely shutting them down and not allowing any TDs. Plus with Geno Atkins out for the year it will make life easier for the interior of our OL.

Pittsburgh x2- They are a mess but because they are the Steelers we can never count them out. Their OL is constantly hurt so 5+ sacks a game is totally within the realm of possibility.

Jacksonsville- We should beat them but "any given Sunday". Only thing I'm worried about is MJD having some freak good game and burning us.

New England- This will be tough because we are playing at Gillete Stadium. I still think we can pull it off. Gronk will create a mismatch no matter who he is on. Robertson has shown nice speed, maybe he can hang with him?

Chicago- They are such a hot and cold team. Never know what they are going to do. Jay Cutler will be back so that will put more emphasis on covering not only Brandon Marshall but also Alshon Jeffrey. Haden will probably mirror Marshall the entire game so Skrine is going to have to play exceptional. The only thing I fear about their Defense is their ability to create take-aways, Campbell will have to play it smart to give us a chance.

NY Jets- One of the biggest surprises of the year for me. I'm not worried about Geno and the rest of the offense, I am worried about their Defense. I watched some of their game against the Saints yesterday and they looked pretty good. Definitely a Defensive game.

Overall I see us going somewhere between 4-2 to 3-3.

  • i want us to run the table. 🙂

  • After the bye, we play the Bengals, right? If we get to 5-5 and the Bengals (off injuries) are 6-5, things get really interesting.

  • If cincy collapses for the remainder of the season we have a shot at making the sixth seed wild card.

    We could win the division.

  • The Ben-gals are always a tough game no matter how good either team is any particular point of time.

but it sure would be sweet to sweep the squeelers.

    WSS

  • sweep the squelers and the bungles making us 5-1 in the division.

  • Bengals at Ravens this week. Ravens win at home:

    Cincy 6-4

    Browns 4-5

    Ravens 4-5

Next week, We go to Cincy, Ravens on road at Bears. If we pull off the upset and Bears win at home:

    Cincy 6-5

    Browns 5-5

    Ravens 4-6

The next week, Bungles have a bye, We host the Steelers, Ravens host jets. Home teams hold serve ...

    Browns 6-5

    Cincy 6-5

    Ravens 5-6

    First place by Thanksgiving.

Any way you look at it, we beat Cincy, then we are just one Bungle loss from being able to control our own destiny.

As for the Second Wild Card ... very much an option:

    Jets 5-4

    Titans 4-4

    Dolphins 4-4

    Chargers 4-4

    Browns 4-5

None of those teams ahead of us scare me, and we can take out the Jets ourselves.

I usually scoff at these types of predictions, but watching this team with anyone under center other than Brandy, I am buying in full tilt, and totally agree with you. As long as JC stays healthy, we will be in each and every game with a chance to win...............Damn good to be a Browns fan!

  • we already beat the bungles already this year.

  • Campbell on track for his first playoff start. Competitive play in 2nd half at KC and excellent performance against a decent shitbird defense shows he can get it done. Lets see

what Norv can do to get him even more dialed in for the start of the second half NFL season. Turner needs to earn his salary these next two weeks. Campbell showed some

true grit and character playing with a lot of pain Sunday. Don't think his teammates didn't notice. It's gonna be a war in CIN 11/17.

  • No Geno Atkins for them either, should help our O-line. Not petrified of any of their edge rushers, though they won't exactly be looking at Schwartz as an immovable object like JT.

Their secondary is pretty good, but we managed 2 TDs against them with BW at QB - should be able to put up 20+ with Campbell. Then the D needs to play big, like they did last time. Sure, we held them to 6, but they've been on fire lately, except the dolphins game. Hopefully, the Ravens beat them and Dalton begins to feel the pressure on him, and fails against us.

It's realistic, but by no means guaranteed.

I believe the Bengals are down 2 starters in their secondary as well. Leon Hall and I think someone else.

  • We will beat jax.

The two Steeler games and Jets we can win.

Bungles, bears and pats are tougher.

We can go 5-2 if Campbell stays healthy.

    JAC: W

PIT: CLE could win 1, but I don't honestly think they could sweep the ketchup-sponsored team that's owned then the past decade.

NYJ: hard to know. The Jets are so chaotic and they might give up playoff hopes by Week 16.

CIN: CLE hasn't swept them since 2002

CHI: lethal with whatever QB they start. Doesn't help that Lovie is very familiar with Campbell

NE: a lot better now with a healthy receiving corps. Seldom lose at home.

Based on the above, I project that CLE will go 1-6 to 3-4.

No reason then that that trend shouldn't change.

Ditto, give us a sweep over both of those teams.

CHI: lethal with whatever QB they start. Doesn't help that Lovie is very familiar with Campbell

Lovie is no longer the Chicago coach, Trestman is.

NE: a lot better now with a healthy receiving corps. Seldom lose at home.

  • All of these predictions are assuming Weeden is NOT behind center.

Pittsburgh: We take both of these. Win definitively at home, and win in a squeaker in Pitt.

Jax: W - The Jags might be the worst team to ever play in the NFL. I'm praying that we aren't their 1 win of the year.

Cincy: L - It's hard to sweep in the division and we're playing them in Cincy.

Jets: W - This one depends on whether we get the Jets that beat the Saints or the Jets that got housed by Cincy.

Bears: L - Cutler led Bears that are fighting for a playoff spot makes this a tough matchup.

Pats: L - We're just not in the same league as Pats/Denver/etc. We're getting there, but not this year.

That puts us at 8-8. The Bungles game is our tipping point. We take that one and we may be able to slide into the playoffs with a 9-7 record going 5-1 in the division. Go Browns!
