  • As like last week. the Browns had the statistical advantage in just about every category except for the main one that accounted for everything....the one in bold.

Let's put it this way: The Browns bad QBs gave this game away. Except for that one decent play by the defense on that OBY play, the Browns served these TOs up on a platter to the Steelers who took advantage of them.

Their QB is capable of making some plays, ours made some plays, but they were negated by their carelessness.

So, issue #1 that won this game for the Steelers: QB play, as could be predicted.

Another few factors that didn't help:

    A. I saw the Browns receivers drop at least 3 passes that would have kept drives alive.

    B. Of course, both Weeden and Campbell completely missed wide open receivers at times.

    C. And a big third factor in my mind: Ray Horton coached timid. I don't know if he was intimidated by going up against his mentor.....or whether he was being totally deferential to him, but to me, he coached scared.

How many times did the Browns blitz? You could probably count it on one hand....and at least a few times he did blitz, he had some success. He had the defense playing way too straight up. He did not have this defense show any fire whatsover and from what I could see, they played way, way below their talent and capability level.
