Typicl windbag nickers. One you cant say hes way better than brown. Two hes being forced fed all game long and the browns have had a bunch of garbage time. Hes not calvin johnson and that dip in that video is a brain dead moron. I guess he doesnt realize that megatron is 6`5 an runs a sub 4.4. Hes also a damn mt. Muscle wise.

Why would he be getting "force fed" the ball? Could it be that he is the best receiver on a struggling team? That would then imply that the opposing defenses know exactly who they need to stop but they appear not to be able to accomplish that goal.

  • Gordon has all the tools you'd want in a number 1 receiver. I hope he stays on the straight and narrow and the FO continues to put pieces around him to be successful.

One, we're not the ones saying Gordon is better than Brown. The entire league is. ESPN is. I don't think you'll find one talking head that disagrees.

Two, we've led until the last minute in our last two games. We've led at some point in the fourth quarter in seven games this season. We've been blown out out twice. When is the garbage time exactly?

Three, Gordon is the best WR in the league as of now. He has only 4 more catches than Megatron, on 15 less targets, for 50 more yards. He tallied 263 yards in one game despite sitting out for an entire quarter.

He's second in the league in average yards per reception. He's second in the league in YAC. He has the longest play from scrimmage in the NFL. And he's top 10 in nearly everything else.

Four, he's 6'3 and is every bit as fast as Megatron. He ran a 4.5 at his Pro Day - with a partially torn hamstring.

Let's add in he's had three different quarterbacks (one of which sucks) tossing him the ball. LOL, ESPN brought that one up. Yeah, call me a homer, but put Josh on the Broncos with Manning @ qb for a 16 game season, and he'd end up with around 2,500 yards.

PS, no one has caught Gordon from behind yet- I've heard his healthy 40 time is around 4.38, and he has terrific "game speed" not just track speed.

  • hey for once yesterday ESPN actually mentioned the browns at least once or twice during their day-time schedule because of the cutler/mccown discussion.

skip bayless who i hate, actually picked the browns to win and both of those windbags mentioned gordon as being a beast. he set a NFL record for (ypc or yac.....something) in a four game span. and they mentioned that he IS megatron fast.

so yeah, i'd say he's pretty good.

When did the nfl become fantasy football? Josh gordon is very good but hes not better than megatron just because he has better stats this season. He wa also drafted in the supplemental for a reason, off the field character concerns. There isnt a person on th planet that would take gordon over calvin johnson.

    yeah you're right.

but gordon would be next on the list.

hey man, don't get bitter on the holidays. after sunday you'll be sittin drinkin eggnog like the rest of us while you're team is planning for next year.

  • I think Gordon might be running a 4.35 right now.

And i would also contend that Gordon is a better all around receiver then Brown, who's more of a quick/small threat.

  • I would rank WRs as

    1. Megatron

    2. A J Green

    3. Julio Jones (if healthy)

    4. Gordon

    5. Dez Bryant

Gordon could definitely move up to 2 very easily but you have to be at the top for multiple seasons

I never claimed anyone would take Gordon over Calvin.

But over Brown? There's not a person alive who doesn't take that.

You have absolutely no rebuttal to the fact that Gordon is leading the league in every major statistical receiving category, so you half-shart out a fantasy football quip? You're better than that.

Just because you don't want to believe it doesn't make it untrue. Josh Gordon is the leagues best receiver at the current moment. He's the second best receiver to play on Sundays behind Megatron and he's twice as good and three times more valuable than Antonio Brown is. Gordon is a prototypical #1 - size, speed, hands, and YAC.

And I wanted the Browns to trade him. Man, that was a bad call on my part.

  • We are witnessing the emergence of a superstar clearly capable of rewriting the WR record book. Hyperbole or not?

Gordon has what I would call "effortless" speed- it doesn't look like he's moving fast- but he sure as hell is. As an oldster- his style reminds me a lot of Paul Warfield's. He still needs to get into and out of his breaks faster to rate above Paul in that category though.

I agree- Gordon has to do it for multiple years before you put him @ #2. However- to our Steeler troll- Gordon has 4" and 40 pounds on Antonio Brown and is every bit as fast if not faster. That said, Megatron is a freak of nature at 6'5" and 235.

Hyperbole but we could be witnessing the emergence of a superstar.

With the defenses in the AFC North, talent around him and weather it will be tough to top guys like Rice, Moss and maybe one day Megatron

while once at heir height of achievements i may have agreed BUT 2 of those 3 players mentioned one player is on the downside of his career and the other can't find a job.

let's stay relevant. who in the ice, wind and snow RIGHT NOW is the best wide receiver and i'm not talking dome numbers or sept or oct numbers?

    Huh?

Rice is the greatest receiver of all time, Moss is probably 2 and Megatron is 27.

sorry dude when you mention AFCN i thought you meant ray rice (i forgot the target point was receivers). i'll give you rice, but moss played under a dome for half his career, as does megatron.

i asked RIGHT NOW who is the best receiver who has to play in the snow wind and fridgid temps.

you got marshall on da bears. gronk is out. welker is out.

put them all outside in cleveland in december and see who comes out on top. gordon will be in the top 3 at least.

Bad weather receivers I'd say A J Green, Gordon, Jordy Nelson, Demarius Thomas

I know I'm going to catch flak for this, even though I didn't say it and the numbers support it :

His 127.3 receiver yards per game are about 12 yards per game more than Jerry Rice averaged 115.5 yards in his best season.

The above is from here :

    http://thacover2.com/2013/12/michael-irvin-i-had-to-talk-josh-gordon-off-the-ledge/#.UqzhdcpqZ8E

  • Rice had Montana, Taylor, Craig, Jones and Walsh. Megatron has himself and Stafford. Dude should be doubled covered on every snap, but yet still puts up the personal numbers. Granted no championships like Rice, but his personal #'s are amazing giving the lack of talent around him.

Make a valid argument arguing against what I said dip shit. He's one strike away from out of the NFL and he isn't better than Calvin Johnson. What am I missing?
