    Yes...If you mean he'd be another clown walking around Berea acting like he knows what he's doing... but then put the blame on someone else when it becomes obvious that he doesn't.

    Honestly...I believe most candidates that come here and get one wiff of the Lombardi/Banner stench are gonna pass including

    McDaniels who most likely will succeed Bellichek in New England

    Is Insubordination the real reason that Chud was fired? At least, insubordination of in the minds of Lombardi and Banner?:

    1. Apparently, Chud wanted a real fullback.....and Lombardi refused to acquire a fullback, and Chud made his displeasure at that known.

    2. Lombardi wanted both Greg Little and Shawn Lauvao cut.....or at least benched. Chud felt that HE was responsible for HIS roster during the season.....and that HE was the one who chooses who does and does not play.

    My bottom line: Chud was bad, the players quit on him....and Lombardi is a slime bucket.

    Lombardi will have a second chance....because this next HC hire will be completely on him....and he has 10 draft picks, and like 30-40 million in cap space.

    Any success or failure in the future will be on his head.

    Haslam/Lombardi/Banner fired Chud also because they saw first year coaches like: Arians/McCoy/Reid/Trestman/Kelly etc. do well in their first year (and he saw Bradley in Jax beat the Browns)....and they expected Chud to do the same, and he didn't.

    So....the next guy they choose MUST have that kind of success in the first year....or else as far as I am concerned these guys: Banner/Lombardi have just one more year to prove THEIR worth.

    You know, JH can replace them just as easily as they chose to replace Chud.

    the guy they really wanted, was available?

    If they hire a hc that just became available...that would fit. That would mean they wouldn't

    get Chud a real qb to back up Hoyer to start the season...wouldn't get him any significant

    player to help him win the first year.

    Then, wham, they dump him, injuries and all. What a sad state of affairs, this whole mess is.

  • Agree, KFP... the player reactions speak volumes. Add to them the memory of their qoutes concerning Chud after the TR trade.

    Artilcle also triggered several nods including one upon reading the following tidbit:

    TR trade for one. The swapping of 2013 picks for 2014's for another.

    I've been saying that there is more here than a disappointing 2nd half. Gip, your FB and benching bits would fill the bill.

    It would seem our FO wants to control the team. No wonder "the name" candidates passed. The FO may have thought they had their puppet in Chud. If so, they were obviously mistaken.

  • I hope Chud sings like a canary on this organization. If that shit is true about him wanting a (gasp) real FB and cutting some of those awful O lineman.....all of which is completely valid and indicative of an NFL coach who knows what the fuck it takes....why are all not crashing down the gates in Berea right now? We've been needing a real FB since Vickers left...which uncoincidentally was the last time we had any kind of running game. Fuck what are these people in Berea doing?

    I agree he is an arrogant egotistical idiot. Like Gipper says he will fit right in with Lombardi and arrogant bean counter Banner. Perhaps it is just me but when I see Banner the second his mouth starts moving I sense the bullshit flowing.

    I think you are full of bullshit on this post bro. Sure there are some players that don't give a damn. If you have played sports for any amount of time you would understand though that many players do have a bond with the coaching staff. To think none of the players are pissed about this is naive.
