A couple of notes: this service ranks him as the third best QB coming out.....but:

Phil Savage whom they quote gives him only a "2d round" grade. That said, expect him to become a superstar.

    More. This from CBS Sports:

STRENGTHS: Prototypical size and is big-bodied rusher with better athleticism than given credit for. Good arm strength with a smooth release with enough zip to fit the ball into small windows. Poised to deliver accurately under pressure and shows terrific peripheral vision and overall feel to see the entire field and not just lock onto his top progression.

Displays poise in overcoming mistakes to continue to lead the offense.

Shows toughness and natural running skills in keeping read-option plays alive.

WEAKNESSES: Needs to improve his spatial awareness in the pocket and improve his climbing ability. Methodical in his setup and delivery of the ball, and inconsistent accuracy too often leaves receivers attempting to reach for off-target passes and missing out on yards after the catch in the open field.

Edit: Does anyone know what they mean by "climbing ability"?

Moving up in the pocket? That would be my best guess

Maybe he just didn't want to say "pocket" twice in one sentence

Watching the colts/chiefs game they talked about Luck 'climbing the ladder' in stepping up in the pocket - I guess it's the same thing.

Phil Savage is enough to convince me. #1 overall for sure.

Don't think any teams were knocking on Phil's door asking him to be their GM.

Phil is the Executive Director of The Senior Bowl....which I believe is run by the NFL and he was appointed to that job by the NFL. His duties there include scouting but also a variety of administrative matters.
