This is the truth right here.

  • we ARE the laughing stock of the NFL right now. oh yeah, you can spin it like "we're waiting for the payoffs to end to interview certain candidates" but for all possible reasons who'd want to take the job being on the same level as chud with no guarantee that you won't be canned after the first year.

i think the firing of chud after the first year has come back to bite this FO in the worse way.

(even though i never liked thed the chud hire to begin with).

Heard Clayton on they way home on ESPN radio. Called the Browns situation "a mess".

    it's a total mess.

guys looking to move into the HC ranks from position coach must be pretty desperate to do so seeing what happened with their brotheren last year.

great college coaches that want o move up prob would want the job, but knowing they be puppet masters to banner and lombardi would make me stand pat and wait for another gig.

if quinn from seattle takes the job i would seriously be shocked. same thing with gales.

they've got it really good right now, why spill a glass of red wine on your resume knowing that next year 2-3 coaching jobs will be available with much better FO and talent?

garrett will be fired if he doesn't produce next year. coughlin and mike white to follow.

He was being kind I take it...

Here's the thing... when I first saw/ read the OP's letter... I thought it was the joke letter!

Did not find out that it was actually something Haslam put out until later.

MIke & Mike ripped on Jimmy this morning with Greenie amazed that the owner is asking the Browns for "patience" after firing his first coach after 11 months when he had to start three different QBs.

Could there be any possibility that Haslam will get tired of looking like a fool and blow the whole thing up this year, ie. clean house in the FO, or is it too late to do that this year?

My own answer would be it's too late to let both go , but maybe one?

I wouldn't say you are the laughing stock of the NFL, but I didn't understand how you fire your coach after one season. Especially when the Browns looked like the best team in the division before your QB blew out a knee.

Hmmm, ya know Z, I never thought of it that way before until you pointed it out- pretty ironic.
