I'm fairly sure theres also a recent article on Bleacher Report that has us pegged at 2-14 this season.

Anyone that is so stupid to think we will go 2 and 14 this season should immediately give up sports journalism. In addition they should get ahold of me right away as I have six figures to lay that we dont.

Haha I would also lay whatever odds they asked for. If we play this draft right and Hoyer or the rook can come in and perform better than last year, we should sit above .500 at year end.

We all hope so for sure.
We really have no idea what's going to unfold here in the draft, but the fact in the article that Farmer chose Cleveland over Miami is reason for some optimism.
Think about it- New England rules the AFC East, and the other 3 teams are fairly mediocre. The AFC North had an off year last season, but recent history has the Steelers & Ratbirds as top teams in the AFC, while Cincy has risen. One would think it would have been a better bet for Farmer to go to Miami. Yet, he chose Cleveland.
Farmer seems poised, and he must have sensed a chance to steer a big turnaround here. I hope we aren't let down again.

Miami was a shit show last year with the whole bullying episode and they don't have as young of a talent base as we do, along with a couple awful contracts. I think if anything Farmer used the Miami offer as lighting a fire under Haslem's ass, "either promote me and get rid of the rift raft ahead of me or I (sorry ahead of time) I'm taking my talents to South Beach."We all hope so for sure.

maybe haslam had time to think while contemplating bunking with jojo for the next 20 years, that his legacy in the NFL couldn't be left to the likes of the 3 stooges and he quickly saw the light.
who ever advised him to make those moves should get a bonus.

Of course, the problem with this is that I suspect there were similar articles written about the Browns "getting it right" when they hired on Banner/Lombardi/Chudzinski....or Holmgren/Heckert/Shurmur...or Mangini.....or Savage/Crennell....or Policy/Clark/Palmer....or Butch Davis....or etc. etc. etc.
Show some sustained success. That is what we ask.
Carr at #4? Hide the article before PoG sees it!

Yup... transfer from paper to the field...

To hell with Cinderella, If I want the Browns to emulate a fictional character it will be Godzilla. The thing destroys everything in its path and always comes back for more.

You know that those atomic tests in the Pacific in the 50s really were not tests. They actually were an attempt to kill a Godzilla type beast. The thing though is that those stikes were successful. They did kill a Godzilla beast. Unlike the movies, the beast really was not impervious to an atomic blast. It was killed and the whole event covered up. The movies were based on the rumors of real events.
The thing though now is that secret scientists are just slightly concerned that there could still exist a "Godzilla egg", somewhere deep in the ocean. But the Godzilla egg could be like those dragon eggs in Game of Thrones. Just dormant for many years. Something some day could trigger the hatching of that egg.
If that were to happen and the threat of another Godzilla egg hatching, people/governments could be less inclined to deal with the threat for a couple of reasons: A. They would not want the firing off of an atomic weapon into the atmosphere, and B. there would be outcries against killing a unique species...no matter what kind of threat it posed to mankind.

Oh, it hatched, and the Browns are drafting him at #4.

Now who's gonna say number 4 is too high to draft Godzilla Jr.

If only Heisenberg could be reanimated to fight this future beast with the POWER OF SCIENCE!
