Strech what? He is another Vet that will probably not make the team. He right now is prob wr 6 for us, until Charles Johnson gets healthy.

Browns also signed two Towson Tiger Rookies. One is a OG and the other is a TE.

The last time Anthony Armstrong was on the field was 2012 and he only had 3 catches soooooo yea, he's not doing anything here.

Towson you say? Hmmm, maybe a little West influence helped to bring them in for a look. If not directly then maybe indirectly from the production West achieved, probably damn good run blockers... which we need more of.

Chances are they were scouting West and saw some others that they thought were worth a look.

One I'm looking forward to seeing how he does is Taylor Gabriel WR out of Abilene Christian. Manzeil had a small converted RB (Swope) to throw to in the slot for 2012 and then a converted little guy (Labhart) who came as a walkon from the men's scout basketball team that pushed the A&M Women's team to the 2011 National Championship. JM spent a lot of extra time with each in the offseason working with them to take those quick throws to get around the blitzers and it paid off each season. Labhart just made it past the first cuts coming out of the Texans' rookie camp.

Taylor has the size, speed and it would be nice to see an undrafted guy push for a shot with the Browns as that slot receiver. His 40 ranged from 4.28-4.49.

It depends on the QB and whether or not Anthony has lost his speed.

I am a Washington Redskins fan.

So I witness Armstrong come on from out of no where in 2010 playing with McNabb iirc lead the leage in ypc.

                        44 catches 871yard 19.8 ypc

But 2011 Rex Grossman comes in and some other WRs and he got pushed down the depth chart and moved on the next year.

This was good info, thanks man! I keep thinking one of these unknown wideouts is gonna emerge and make a difference. I fear the Browns have a limited need for a slot receiver type though, as they signed Andrew Hawkins in the offseason and already had Travis Benjamin, who hopefully comes back from injury as his sparky self. Plus, it sounds like there'll be an increased emphasis on the run game so these receivers are gonna be asked to chuck cornerbacks outta the way with more regularity.
