YEa he's got to get smarter with his body. He barely getting to the sideline for a 1st down with wide open wr in front of him. Against starters he gets killed.

Real impressed with Charles Johnson. Hope he gets a legit shot with the 1s

Manziel's arm is far superior to Hoyers. We already knew he was more mobile, so it's only a matter of time. (Like game 2 in the regular season)

Lol. You hoyer guys are hilarious.

  • I don't think he's (JF) is a year away at all. It looks more like the coaches are behind in using his talents effectively.

Ehh I don't know about far superior. He won't be ready by week 3. Pettine knows it too

Not if Hoyer is winning games. I don't think anyone on here is arguing manziel doesn't have better physical tools than Hoyer. But Hoyer is accurate and makes quick reads which are great traits for NFL qbs.

The mental part is just as important as physical with an NFL qb.

  • Lol. You hoyer guys are hilarious.

You manziel guys are hilarious. No one here is a Hoyer fan boy. I haven't seen one post that says Hoyer is more talented than manziel. Hoyer has just been around the NFL longer and may be able to prove he's a decent qb.

You manziel fans just can stand if he doesn't start right away.

Exciting start for Manziel. Very happy.

Yeah. I liked what I saw. He's definitely got an arm and some wheels. Future looks bright.

Claiming hoyer is the clear favorite after tonight is Retarded.

In a Brown's guy. I don't care whom my qb is. IMO Hoyer is ready JF is not. I sure hope JF is the future. U JF guys wanna blow him soooooooo bad ud hurt his progression just to do so.

Its preason. Settle down. Jake Delhomme and Brandon Weeden would be the best qbs in the league if preseason meant a damn.

Hoyer IS the clear favorite. Manziel is just too raw, anyone with a brain and two eyes can interpret that by watching the game tonight.

Well, it doesn't matter who is qb from what we've seen so far...

But With that being said, you certainly don't have a bus driver team.

100% correct. Manziel fans would still shit their pants if new england drafted him and he didn't start right away. And no turds, I'm not saying Hoyer is anything like Tom Brady.

Manziel made some nice throws and one decent run, but he has two alarming tendancies.

    1. He looks at one read and then runs. The Ponder syndrome.

    2. He puts his body in harms way.

He can learn to slide, but it is tough to break that first habit.

I saw 3 field goals to this point.

Not too good against the likes of Detroit.

Hoyer with the 1st team couldn't get into the endzone.

Manziel did fine with the scrubs.

The defense needs to learn to stop that running play, otherwise they played fine.
