Cavalier Girl Cheney Appears In 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition
CLEVELAND, OH - February 10th, 2009 - The Cleveland Cavaliers are proud to announce that Cavalier Girl Cheney was selected to appear in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue! Along with nine other NBA dancers, Cheney flew to New York City in September for a photo shoot and is featured in the magazine’s popular swimsuit edition, which is on newsstands now!
“It is such an honor to be able to represent what I believe to be the best dance team in the NBA and the best team,” said Cheney. “Dancing in Cleveland is so much fun and the fans are really supportive. There’s so much excitement all the time.”
Cheney blogged about her experience and shares her personal behind-the-scenes videos from the photo shoot on cavfanatic.com. In addition, SI.com features the dancers in a web gallery boasting numerous pictures of the girls, which include in-game shots of Cheney at Quicken Loans Arena, and videos of the photo shoot.
The Lima native is in her second season with the Cavalier Girls and enjoys modeling, acting and traveling when she’s not playing with her dog, Sunni.
