However dumb the rule is, the league is the boss over the players. I personally don't think you should control the speech of your employees but I don't own an NFL franchise.

Yeah it is a stupid standard we keep. We cheer and high five when a player lays a huge hit on another player but he had better not use potty mouth while trying to pulverize his opponent.
