Week 14: Colts Week

  • It's ironic, the Colts biggest advantage on offense is in the rushing game, while our biggest advantage on offense is in the passing game... doesn't seem to make sense...

It's the same gameplan as all year. We have to score points early to force them to become a one-dimensional offense. We don't have the personnel on D to stuff the rush. It just hasn't happened, and won't happen, so we have to score points in order to force them to pass the football. If we can get the Colts to abandon the run, I have full faith in our secondary to make Luck pay. If the Colts get a lead and can start running the ball... we're done...

If our offense doesn't start well, and score TDs,... our D has no chance. This will take a full team effort on both sides of the ball...

When this happens is when we've had our most convincing wins (Cincy, Pittsburgh)

When buffalo started running more in the 2nd half is when our whole D started to fold.

This probably won't go over well but I could see Trent (boom too) having a big game. We have given up big games to denard robinson and alfred blue. If we don't score early which I don't have too much faith in with hoyer to do, these two will run all over us. My ssd prediction is a loss by a lot. I hope I'm wrong. Hoyer needs to come out strong, TD on the first drive.

    No way we win this.

On the other hand, if Hoyer does pull out a win here . . . huge Can of Worms just open back up at the QB position.

Seeing all the turmoil and back and forth we've gone through this Season, wouldn't be surprised to see this happen - I just don't see it though.

What about controlling the clock with our running game to keep Luck off the field. Once they start scoring we have to play catch up. Hoyer to Gordon and run first.

man those lists make me wonder if the NFL has gone far enough in battling some of these injuries. i know you can't stop injuries in football but holy shit, kidneys bruised, ribs broken....what i saw of the cowboys/bears game last night was actually kind of scary. a WR or TE catching a pass and having 3 guys come in and blast the dude (not illegally) after the catch.

fucking cam might not ever see the field again. i mean out how many weeks with a concussion? when are just going to say the guys brains are scrambled and we can't play him.....again.

I hope Cribbs and DQ play, looking forward to seeing them in Cleveland again. I also hope Crowell can overcome his injury to play on Sunday, Browns absolutely need all the help they can get on offense.

He was active last week, but limited to ST.

I think he's a good back just lost in depth here and at SF.

Listening to some Podcasts and I can't believe what I'm hearing

We're getting ready to start our 4th Center for this game (Mack, Greco, McDonald, Seymour).

    Seriously?

And folks are expecting us to pull this one out against the Colts?

This Season has so far surpassed my expectations, and it has exposed that we need quite an infusion of talent in our depth.

We've got some good talent, but when hit with the injuries we've suffered this Season it's evident we really need to up the quality of our Depth.

It surely won't hurt to upgrade our Starters as well.

Only thing I'm looking forward to this Sunday is that they're now scheduled (thanks to the JFF expectations) to be broadcast locally here on FOX (Washington State) so I can watch them on the Big Screen.

Play like the underdawg. Shanny, time to win time of possession, Keep Luck off the field. TY and Haden that will be fun. Cundiff 2 of 3 in FG's and we must turn 2 FG's into Hoyer's Number 6.. Browns 20 Colts 17..Stop the run, Get them off the field on 3rd Down. ROCK our building Houston lost to Quiet, screw that..

This is the only injury that matters in this game. With nobody to cover him, Gordon will be open all game and that should trickle down to Hawkins/Gabriel/Benjamin

If Hoyer doesn't press, and just throws to the open guy, we should be able to torch their weak secondary...

Get Gordo it early and short and let the YAC pile up... just avoid giving him route options.

And BH has to be disciplined and involve Hawk and Gabe and even Benji...

With our TEs dwindling I wonder if we will finally see a 4WR set...

    Bito? 🙂

I'd honestly go McD, if he's close to 100%... maybe 90% minimum. It's kind of a pick your poison choice, but, if for no other reason than consistency, I pick the one I know.

Carrying on the unstated QB parallel, Seymour "looked" more athletic, but showed less "feel" for the offense... even the striped down one we employed in BUF.

I for one am hopeful this game. It's the tough defensive teams that give us fits, but we've had some success against the better offensive teams. New Orleans, Pitt, Atl.

If our defense is clicking and pulls off some of their patented turnovers, preferably apple, and maybe get a score, then l like our chances.

This is the show me game for Hoyer. I probably said that last week, but l mean it this time. Shit or get off the pot. Or get on the pot. Either way, Gordon can probably give you some pointers.
