    I thought Locker would perform well in Shanny's offense and Sachize can get you through a season, but it all depends on the OC now, we are at ground zero offensively.

    The place to look is at the teams that are currently in the playoffs. While you won't take their OCs for a lateral move, you could promote a top notch QB coach....or "assistant OC" if such exists.

    Id probably take a look at Locker, Mallet and maybe Sanchez....all have flashed and are at the right age to mature....so maybe

  • When Mallet started for the Texans against us in the "Bellicheck Backup QB Bowl" he threw some decent passes. I wouldn't be "Oh woe is me" if Mallet or Locker ended up on the roster and won the starting qb job in a real open competition.

  • Mallet has a cannon, and hasn't had a chance to prove much which makes him more interesting than other names.

    Locker has a repeated injury history, and isn't that good when he's healthy either.

    Anyway, no favorites on this list.

    I see Sanchez, Davis, Mallet, Hoyer, and Locker as about equal quality.

    Give any of them good pass protection and a run game and they'll win games for you.

  • FA QB "class" is very limited and has been discussed in other threads. I think we will trade for a vet starter.

    A Trestman/ McCown reunion would work for me. McCown could be very cheap after Draft Day one, but should Foles become expendable in Philly...

  • TJ Yates is an interesting name. I remember him being the 3rd QB for Houston and being pressed into action late in the season. If memory serves, he did quite well.

  • Im almost sure Cutler will be on the FA list before its all said and done. He has the talent, but he's a pussy. I don't know if that can be changed with the right surroundings or not. Might be worth a look if he's released.
