My opinion is that Harrison and Warner will no doubt get in. They were just first time eligible this year. They just have to do their year in Purgatory.
Most of the others on all these lists have been waiting a lengthy bit of time since they were eligible....and many may wait forever.
-
These services have wide opinons on just the QBs alone. You have the following QBs alone on one list or other:
Ken Anderson
John Hadl
Dave Kreig
Randall Cunningham
Boomer Esiason
Drew Bledsoe
Ken Stabler
Phil Simms
Kurt Warner
If any of these are gonna make it, they better do it soon before Favre, Manning, Brady, Brees show up on the eligible roll.
I believe Warner will....the others, unlikely
And note, we never even mentioned the following QBs, all who are among the Top 25 passing yards in NFL history: Testaverde, Kerry Collins, Donovan McNabb, Jim Everritt, Steve DeBerg.

While I'm on my soapbox, IMO the guy that really got shafted was Cincy CB Ken Riley.
The guy is 5th all time with 65 interceptions, which is more than 19 DB's currently inducted.
How his name isn't even mentioned at the annual meeting is beyond me.

I will score each one for how they match up with my own opinions.

Service A was I believe the PFR career average. Those were the top ten most productive careers on that list.
Service B was PFR career "weighted" average. I am not sure how or why they do two different averages...but it does change the results.
I can't remember exactly now which service C and D were. They were publications. One may have been either Sports Illustrated or the Bleacher Report, or ESPN or some such....in other words, just some writers opinion.

For me.....Warner and Harrison are going to get in....its just a matter of time, so the following which is my list of the Ten that I think should get in excludes those two because in my mind they are already there:
1. Jim Marshall
2. Jerry Kramer
3. Roger Craig
4. Zach Thomas
5. Ken Riley
6. Alex Karras
7. Ken Stabler
8. Ken Anderson
9. Kevin Greene
10. Clay Matthews
