Hernandez Guilty

Mile and a half? Depends on the surroundings. You definitely can't hear DKR a mile and a half away and I doubt you could Kyle Field. Maybe if it was wide open country with nothing but the stadium.
At night you can definitely hear how loud Kyle is from 2 miles out where I park. I've left games that were essentially over and could here it all the way to the car. And that's with a game that is already well in hand with just the subs getting in their playing time. Unless Hernandez is in a soundproof building, he'll be able to hear the roar easily from that distance at night.

and vice versa.....the fans might hear him yelling and squealing as big daddy makes him his bitch.

Ironic thing about it is that he was taken to a maximum security prison only a mile and a half from the Pats football stadium. He'll be able to hear the roar of the crowd from there easily. I can hardly wait for Monday Night Football to take a shot of the prison from the stadium during a game. Poetic justice.

Thats only a transitional stop. His permanent prison is here:

Aaron Hernandez vs Lawrence Philips in the upcoming Prison Football Championship (PFC).
Aaron Hernandez vs Lawrence Philips in the upcoming Prison Football Championship (PFC).
We may have to start a separate thread on this- but nominations are open for the All-Time Prison team. (felonies only please) Gip- feel free to chime in.
RB- we have Phillips, OJ, Mercury Morris, and Maurice Clarett
QB- Art Schlister
WR Rae Carruth
TE Hernandez
-
LB-Ray Lewis-the one who got away with only misdemeanor obstruction of justice plea bargain-so he was only as guilty as OJ for murder
-
All-prison team has Vick in it surely? And a place for Plaxico Burress I'm guessing.
-
Hernandez would have been a steeler, except he didn't
take cheapshots on the field in college......

Going by quality of the player of those that have done hard time:
QB - MikeVick
RB OJ Simpson
RB Merc Morris
WR Plax Burress
WR Mark Ingram
TE Aaron Hernandez
Those are some pretty good weapons. (pun not intended)
Other playmakers off the bench: Billy Cannon, Rae Caruth, Cecil "The Diesel" Collins, Travis Henry, Dave Meggett, Bam Morris, Lawrence Phillips, Stanley Wilson
Lot's of speed, this team could slice you up (ok, that one was intended)
If you wanted to get technical you could add former Browns Donte Stallworth (30 days in the hole) and Jamal Lewis (4 months in a jumpsuit).
I got the list from here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_professional_sportspeople_convicted_of_crimes#American_football_.28Gridiron.29
When you look at the NFL names, the RBs really stick out, followed by WRs ... the big guys, and the defenders, not as much. They must get the violence out of their system on the field

Flashy skill players are more likely to be involved in crimes? Could not have seen that coming...

Ship him off to the Phantom Zone

Must be getting senile, John- forgot about Kevin Crack. But in the big scheme of things- just hardly rates- drug possession. Don't remember Mays getting busted for anything though.

I agree, Larry, but somebody above cited Felonies as the qualifications
I may be senile but I thought David Mays is in the slammer for murder.
NEWSWIRE
JurisprudenceDavid Mays, a former NFL backup quarterback who was indicted eight months ago for attempted murder, was charged in Cleveland after prosecutors unsealed the indictment.
Mays, a dentist from Shaker Heights, Ohio, who played for the Cleveland Browns in 1976 and '77 and with the Buffalo Bills in 1978, is accused of trying to kill Kenneth Baiko, a dentist from Brecksville, Ohio, on May 10, 1990.
Baiko recently purchased Mays' practice. Mays' attorney, Terry Gilbert, said Baiko filed a civil suit in May alleging that Mays attacked him because he wanted to break the deal to buy Mays' practice.
Baiko claimed Mays arranged an early morning meeting at the office to go over details of the transfer, then attacked him. Baiko charged that he was struck on the head with a blunt object, knocked to the floor and stabbed in the calf, knee and hand. He was ordered to lie on his stomach and was stabbed in the neck.
