GOOD NEWS Teen's Simple Act of Kindness for Elderly Man Goes Viral
Apr 27, 2015 // 9:16am
As seen on Fox and FriendsAn 18-year-old supermarket worker in England is getting international praise for carrying an elderly customer’s groceries home.
Samantha-Jayne Brady posted a photo on Facebook of Aldi employee Christian Trouesdale walking hand-in-hand with a 96-year-old customer while carrying the customer’s groceries. The picture has since gone viral.
Brady wrote on Facebook that the elderly man “wasn’t very agile, nor fast, but Christian walked with him ever so patiently and slowly, chatted along with him and carried his bag for him.”
She called the moment a “lovely thing to witness.”
Trouesdale called the reaction "crazy," telling a local newspaper that he has received praise from people around the world through social media.
Trouesdale said that he had walked the old man home a week earlier and when the man returned, he asked if Christian could do it again.
"My parents have raised me to treat other people like you want to be treated yourself," he said.

The fact that this is international news should give us pause for thought.
Mind you, I wonder what his supervisor said about him disappearing from the store for 30+ minutes? Damn sure I could never get away with it!

Now of course Woody is going to be pissed off because the guys name is Christian....

When I worked at the local government, there was a file on a guy named 'muhammed islam' - now, there are some parents who'll be pissed if the kid's atheist.

We have Aldi's here also. I think they are a German owned company. They are supposedly very cheap. I've never been to one however.

Aldi - cheap and German, yes.
