  • Moved from 17 to 24 this round, don't know what else we picked up in the move yet

    Looks like we got :

    6 - 22

    7 - 24

  • Mud called it

  • Nfl.com draft tracker shows it:

We picked up an extra 6th and 7th in addition to the cards pick later this round.

So we have the pick later in the 4th, 3 6th, and 2 7th. I'm hoping we can use those to trade back into the 4th/5th for someone interesting such as Diggs.

  • Hahahahahahaha why do we hate WR's?

I actually love the guy we took, if Gipson isn't ready/leaves in FA it gives us options. Campbell is the best safety in this class.

    Getting good grades so far:

  • THE BELLDOZER

  • Steelers do like their Ohio State University guys

  • Wow

    WR Mayle

  • My apologies, Tour

    No one had him...

Can't get 'em all right... but I'd like to get one... besides Shelton which was kinda like the "Free Space" on a bingo card.

  • Well, I said Max Garcia in the 5th. Does that count?

  • "Allow me introduce you to one of the most un-talked about receivers in 2015 draft class, red-shirt senior Vince Mayle. In the 2015 college football season not many receivers tallied more yards than Mayle, in fact Mayle finished fourth among receivers in reception yardage with 1,483 while at the same time setting Washington State’s record for receptions in one season with 106. So why are some scouts and analysts calling him a fourth or even a fifth round pick?

Mayle standing 6 feet 2 inches tall while coming in at 219 pounds has the look of an NFL type receiver, not to mention his athleticism, physicality, and ball skills to go along with it. Most critics will point towards age when evaluating Mayle (will be 24 before start of 2015 NFL season) and I wouldn’t necessarily throw it out completely, but each player is different and should be evaluated on a clean slate and in the case of Mayle I’m willing to overlook age because of his talent. Something that also should be noted is that Mayle cut 20 pounds this past off-season and throughout the 2014 season played with a broken finger on his right hand."

That probably accounts for the knock on him that he dropped 19 passes last year.

Also there's talk he could be moved to TE as he's a converted Basketball player (ala Cameron).

  • Round 5, no picks for us as of yet - wondering if we package some picks to move up here.

  • and there goes Heeney.....

  • 🙁

Well.... at least I was right about the round...

  • There goes Hundley

  • Packers going up to grab Hundley is a surprise

  • Our 147pick we trade to Pats They trade To GB to Pick QB Hundley.. Sorry but there it is..

  • Wow

    WR Mayle

    Wow

    WR Mayle

    I like his size.

    My concerns are:

What will a 4.67 forty translate to if he's to be used outside?

Does he overcome his issues with dropping too many easy passes that Polian spoke of? EDIT: Just noticed some of that was attributed to playing with a broken hand.

In fairness, this former basketball player only has 2 seasons of college football in him. He's pretty raw in terms of football background/experience; BUT he's caught 16 TD receptions in the last 2 years.

    Certainly didn't hurt Anquan Boldin.
