Light My Fire hit #1.
Robbie Kreiger wrote the bulk of the lyrics.

I didn't look up the rest but it appears Huey Lewis never had a number one hit. he had 7 in the top 10 but the highest rank was a number 3.

Heart and soul didn't hit number 1?

PhD in medieval literature is possibly the most useless degree I've ever heard of. I suppose if you're a rock star you can afford to drop a ridiculous amount of money on a degree with no practical application.
Well, maybe he would think that whatever you got your education is may be just as useless.
Perhaps you are a Hitlerian. Recall that he too thought little of intellectuals and academics and killed them, where if someone was a manual laborer he would use them til they dropped dead.

I do think people who style themselves as intellectuals are douchebags that much is true.

You're very incorrect if you think I'm ignorant but having to style yourself an intellectual is just a form of hipsterism. Look at Isaac Asimov's face in that picture and tell me it's not begging to be punched.
This shit ain't nothing to me, man. -
Him trying to wedge all his books into one overarching universe was a bad idea.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, drink deep or touch not the Pieriain spring.

Like my brother used to say, "feeling good is good enough"

Well at least good enough for me and Bobby McGee...

There is a simple solution: If you don't want to be thought of as ignorant.....don't act and say ignorant things.

I understand. You have improved in the space of a single post.

Well you explain how medieval literature is a useful degree and I'll be willing to listen. There may be ten jobs in the world where that would be a necessary requirement and I'd be willing to bet they're all filled and not by former members of the velvet underground.

Is everything all about a job?
Well, here you go.....he can get a job in a library, in a bookstore, in a publishing house, and things of that nature.
My son's college roommate had a degree in some kind of literature and is a publicist for a NYC publishing house. So, there may not be a direct job in studying medieval literature per se....but there are jobs out that that want people that have the ability to apply the skills they learn in studying literature to whatever it is they have available.

And here are some people that got a similar degree at the same school:
E.L Doctorow, Author of Ragtime
Laura Hillenbrand, author of Seabuiscuit and Unbroken
Robert McCauley, Editor for Playboy
Matthew Winkler, Editor for Bloomberg News
Jim Bellows, former Editor of the Washington Post
John Green, author of The Fault in our Stars
And this is just a small Liberal arts school in Ohio.
If you have a literary degree from Harvard.....likely even more opportunities for careers are available to you.
Here is Harvard's website for career opportunities for English/Lit. graduates:

God forbid a share of them actually went into law.
