I still don't get it? Two guys in the middle? Where was the quarterback? I don't get Pagano's explaination? What were they doing? Are they smoking pot during the games?

how does that work if there's 3 guys over center just waiting to tear into that ass? Doesn't that have to be shotgun snapped? I mean fuck that looked stupid.

Don't you need 7 on the line? that play was penalized for illegal formation correct?

Trying to trick the "Trickster" is a desperation ploy. An admission of inferiority! You can't fool Mr. Belicheat because he has forgotten more than Pagano knows about football.

It's commonly called polecat. The idea is that if they blitz immediately over too, you swing it out to a quick screen.

Then seemed like they got what they wanted... So why wasn't the "QB" expecting a snap?

I didn't watch the game, but I mistakenly deduced what I thought the play was from what I heard others say.

Turns out it wasn't a polecat formation, but swinging gate. Swinging gate is sometimes run at the prep level for trickeration. At the pro level, it's more commonly run to try and catch the defense with 12 men on the field.

The center wasn't supposed to snap the ball.

In that case they should have schooled that play's 2nd string center.

Apparently they've been practicing the play for a year and when they finally ran it, they lined up in an illegal formation so even if it had worked, it would've been called back anyways.

....and people think we have the worst coaching issues.....

If you wanna talk about your under performing teams and stupid decisions, Indy seems to lead the pack....
