Browns just waived Draughn

LondonBrown

Another TE?!

Ibleedbrown

There goes all those "Draughn strike" jokes l never got to make.

Another Draughn strike for 15 yards! It's like the defense didn't even see him coming!

The Gipper

WOW!!! This will make a difference.

(adhering to rule of pink regarding sarcasm)

Because they signed him off another team's PS, the Browns have to keep him on their roster the rest of the way, no? Unless he is injured?

Zombo

Ya, his number was up, was wondering who we would replace him with.

Man of DiManche looks like a special teamer as we still rotate the four guys at OLBer hoping for a sack.

Looks like Turbin just took his job.....Draughn waived and a new LB signed and added to roster...

And a new TE added to PS too.....Link below....

Turbin will be taking Crow's job soon enough.

I give it two weeks.

The Gipper

By the way: Dimanche is French for "Sunday."

In theory, you could say that he along with well known Colts center Jeff Saturday, and Larry Friday, drafted by the Browns in 1987 (but cut and played a cup of coffee for the Bills) are the only players in the history of the NFL to be named after a day of the week.

And THAT my friends, may actually be the thing this guy becomes most notable for in his career. Fair to say? Tres bien?

Oh....sorry....needed to do the color edit.

Meanwhile, Blowe is double checking that those automatic deposits are current, and deciding where exactly he wants to build his $3 million retirement house....... The whole time laughing his ass off like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.

gumby73

Well their goes my other Tarboro,N.C high school kid that played at UNC. But maybe the other Tarboro Kid will make it of Todd Gurley (just not this week please). The way our backs get dinged up PS would maybe better option but 5 te's is always safe to have(bull sh..) Good Luck to the Draughn Missile (was his actual nickname at tarboro) ibleedbrn. You were damm close!!

miktoxic

well didn't one of our TEs get hurt on sunday?

Housler

gumby73

Hoser/Housler hurt. I would never take Barney off the field and leave Drey,Bibbs and newbie 2day. 0 backs on PS and 3 backs playing on egg shells. Crow toe, duke and turbin ??

letsgojackets

Personally i want to see more of E J Bibbs. If remember he broke at least one tackle after every catch in the preseason. I hope Housler gets better but I didn't see an upgrade there or anything.

medicineman

I know this was on a different thread but no time to look right now but why is Bowe not been let go? What a waste of a spot.

Alkid3

Turbin is legit. Draughn. See ya.

Who do you replace him with?

Anyone who seems like they actually want to play on the team.

gumby73

we got robbed for 9Mill. I would not let this dude make another penny from nobody & who would? If things do go bad, he's on the field every down & tell him to go deep!!

miktoxic

agreed. it seems like he did the ole 'just got paid, friday nite' sit down and collect checks. initial thought was his physical presence would be enough to get other guys open. hell he can't even find the field.

ala sammy watkins.

Seriously 'Peen? I'd bring back Terrell Pyror, at least he shows an inclination to want to play football. Blowe is just cashing paychecks- and laughing all the way to the bank. The only reason he hasn't been cut yet is Farmer doesn't want to admit he made a $9 million screw up.

Tour2ma

I liked Draughns... just got caught up in the numbers and got nicked. Someone is going to pick him up.

One... he flashed enough to cut into Crow's work load Sunday. I expect deeper cuts this Sunday and he's starting for one of my Fantasy teams.

Everything Housler has been asked to do so far, Bibbs will do better.

All of the blocking Barn has been asked to do this year, Bibbs will do better.

All of the receiving Dray has been asked to do this year, Bibbs will do better.

It starts Sunday...
